specificaly early engines, like the 303 and 324 with 4-71 blowers on top.

manifold I have doesn't have a water crossover and the oil fill tube is partially blocked by the idler/tension pulley.

    looking for ideas..

some clear pictures of Roth's Beatnik Bandit motor would be a good start.

set the blower on the manifold for the first test fit today, need to have a crank hub made and solve those two other little issues but it looks very do-able.

on the 'Bandit motor it looks like the water is tapped into the rear ports and plumbed forward, it also looks like the drive snout used is longer, long enough to clear the stock oil fill tube.. unless there is a jog in the tube I can't see here.

anybody have any pictures of an installed Cragar street blower on the Olds' motors?

    thank you,
it does show that like mine the manifold has no built in water cross over like most of the Olds Cragar intakes I've seen
it also shows the snout is about an inch longer than mine,
on mine the rear belt groove on the drive pulley almost lines up with the forward groove on the water pump pulley.
the oil fill tube looks straight and unaltered.

Here are some picks of a friend’s setup, not sure if it will help you.

    thanks Lars,
    yes it does help.
again I see the snout is longer, clearing the oil fill tube.
I also see the generator hung out on the driver's side, 'was thinking of something like that myself.

I think that you can actually cut the water crossover off of a stock 2 or 4 barrel intake manifold and use it along with your blower intake. I saw a guy that did this with a homemade log type manifold on a 56 324 olds engine. This would at least solve your water problem.

I have a water crossover but it hits the snout,
the Cragar intake with integral water crossover must have the thermostat housing relocated to clear

Here ya go Paul, this is a friend's set up.
He had the same problem as you, I'm pretty sure he cut up an aluminum 394 manifold for the water cross over and machined it to fit.

    ..no thermostat..

Paul, I offer this 55' 2bbl intake as a sacrifice to the rocket gods if you think you can cut the water crossover off and use it.

    tanks mang,
    I have manifolds, and cross-overs
but none of them clear the blower.

I think what I need is the Cragar blower manifold with built in cross-over.
I'm sure one will turn up,
in the meen time this will have to do.

What size motor do you need the Cragar manifold to fit. I have casted water necks for them if you need one for the Cragar 471 manifold.

yaknow paul, that "temporary" solution isnt all that bad an idea... maybe polished stainless, and bring it up along side the huffer snout housing and tie them together on top of the snout, or down next to it on the left, opposite the oil filler. then plumb to the rad from there,,, might even be able to have someone machine a floating thermostat housing as well. i think that idea has a lot of merit beyond "temporary"
