I am starting up a monthly car parts swap meet in Hopewell, NJ (central jersey 08525). One day I got to thinking that there are weekly flea markets all over the place,,,I don't think weekly would really work for this,,but I think if it was done on a monthly basis, it could really turn into something pretty cool. As it is now, we have to wait for Hershey, Carlisle and Englishtown (which is rapidly becoming THE place to buy bicycles, lawnmowers, and camaro stuff) or use Ebay, etc. The other good thing about this is that you can actually see what you are buying (or trading) as opposed to taking some seller on ebays word for it, and then paying/waiting for shipping. The swap meet will be on the third Sunday of each month (with a rain date on the fourth Sunday, if necessary). Hoping to do this year-round,,,we'll see... Set up time for venders will start at 7:30 am. Vender spots will be just $25. Plenty of free parking, and free to get in. In the spring, I will hold a small traditional rod/kustom show as well. There will be coffee, donuts, and bagels for sale. The address is 95 Crusher Road, hopewell, NJ 08525. Feel free to pm me with questions, suggestions, complaints, etc,,,,,or give me a call at 609 333 8833. I hope we can make this work. I've never done anything like this before, and I'm sure it will be a learning experience,,,,but a fun one.

  3. I like the idea... There is nothing to do anyway... why not shop for parts. I have a ton of stuff I peel off cars. All good stuff, I hate to throw it away. I buy alot, I strip alot...so I've got all kinds a junk. Good junk! Keep me posted...

I've got some Nailhead stuff... 6x1
283 with a cam and an old genorator.
    27 roadster cowl,
    28 thru 34 everything
    axles out my ass
    you name it...

I could have my own swap meet... Ahh, I couldn't find the pic I wanted where you can see all the junk....this is just a small portion outside... my yard is giant.

It now looks like a bomb went off... at a 1934 Ford dealership.

Hey Stan I didn't realize you were on here! This is Bill, we just met out in Gettysburg and traded the 55 Pontiac pieces. Good to see you on here.

  17. I just mapquested your place and it's only a 34min drive, probably 20 if I drive the ElCamino.

Jeff, any good T Roadster parts you want to buy you can store at my place. :)

    I'm in for sure.

GREAT IDEA! I've always enjoyed New Jersey swap meets, and found great items there. I'm just an hour away from the Jersey border here in Connecticut. Fairfield, Watchung and Mawaha used to be great swaps till they somehow faded away. Keep it car parts, and a cutoff year and it should do well.

and keep the cost reasonable.. 25.00 is fair..

I hate spending 40.00 and only making half back.. (which has happened alot recently)

that is great i will sure try for that i'd rather sell 2 the hambers 2 help get ther rods done cleen out for winter

  22. Do guys actually buy stuff in New Jersey that it's worth the time to buy a $25 spot and pay $20 or so in gas to drive there and back? That's exactly what I sold Sunday, $45. Two model car kits and two car parts. A lot of the real builder stuff I take back home.

And I find the second show in the same location sells less than the last one, usually by 1/3 to 1/2.

i thought $25 was cheap for a spot.....
if you price your stuff fairly,,you'll make $$.......AND a lot depends on the WHAT you are selling,,,,,and i have a feeling there will be a lot of TRADING going on between hambers.
guess we'll have to see how it plays out,,,i feel strongly that it'll be successful..judging from the response so far, a lot of guys seem to feel the same way

I'm in for rain or shine!
