  14. Great idea for a post, I've been enjoying everyones pictures for a while now. Got a new computer a few months before I became a member and decided not to keep the pics I had in my old computer, too lazy to transfer them I guess. Looking at these makes me wish I'd spent the time.

    This picture is the reason why I now for some weird reason Strongly desire an Edsel Wagon someday.
     
  26. The 32 pics were taken in the spectator parking, 1959 at Pomona. Just another Sunday drag race. The amazing thing is, these were nothing special then. You used to see cars like these routinely driving the streets in So Cal. The 40 coupe was taken in 58 at a little park in West Covina. It belonged to my buddy's cousin. He was running a nailhead Buick, and had just had the car painted "Tahitian Red", the hot color before candy apple red. Again, cars like this were common on the roads in the 50's.
