Hey whats up, I just bought a 1934 Ford 5-window, chopped 2.5 inches, channelled 5.5 inches, little rust in the bottom of the doors, strait solid body, 1950 Ford flathead, 2 strombergs, Ford 3-speed top-loader, 8 inch ford rear...origional frame, boxed and Zed...origional axle drilled, '40 Ford brakes and backing plates solid rust free trunk, origional grill in preaty rough shape but strait with no broken insert peices, origional radiator.....good running base for my plans of building a nice period traditional hot rod....now I paid more than $15gs but less than $20gs...the guy also gave me another 3-speed trans and a set of 16inch '40 Ford wheels that are preaty mint.....just wondering what kind of cash are people getting for 33/34 Ford 5 and 3-window coupes or sedan... and what do the HAMBers think they are worth and no, mine is not for sale. Thanx -Eric PS, Ill post pics of the car when Im finished re-building it...

No, Im not gonna flip it...It was just alot of cash for me and I really didnt find any other 33/34's coupes for less than $20gs...just wondering what other poor guys like me thought.....the guy owned it for over 25 years and it wasnt for sale....so it was a good find for me.

i wont answer the "whats it worth" portion of your post, but in my opinion you got a reasonable deal.

tudor's are considerably cheaper than coupes...depending on condition. Vicky's are more desirable but i believe that is a nitch market.

i would NOT pay $20k for a 5 window body, (body ONLY) but would consider it fair market value if it was a 3 window in good shape... & personaly id expect garnish mouldings too.

Yea, I really wanted a project or a barn find but this is a running car...couldnt pass it up. I dont think I could build this car for what I paid...Unfortunatly, this lifestyle has turnned into a hobby....hobby's appeal to people who cant BE cool but have the money to try and BUY cool...its sad....but that means more cash out of our pockets to live our lifestyle.
