Wow! That is about the coolest thing I've seen on here ever. War of the Worlds is one of my favorite movies. Fitting that it's a trike and the headlights are awesome.

You can manually add an image, or images, to your posts by enclosing the image link like this.....

Basically, the URL of the image, enclosed in brackets.

Also, it's good to downsize the images a bit, like to 800 px wide or so. I use irfanview a lot for that, works good and it's free. Click on Irfanview.com to get your copy.

Drew and I were hoping to get together ant the moon this summer, but we haven't heard anything about it. Last time I talked to Mike was at the World of Wheels.
    Have you heard anything?
If not, we'll see ya at WOW this year I hope.

    Take care

  13. Haven't posted much lately;been kind of busy making a living. Here are some pictures of stuff I've done over the past week or two.Boxes have been sitting around way too long and I need to get some space in the shop. These will be going up for sale eventually(except for the lunch box;my wife has claimed it for a purse).

The older box with the,"induced patina lettering" is in very great shape surprisingly.Rust-O-Leum'd the interior in semi gloss black. The letters were done in ivory and crimson and after setting were scrubbed with a gray scuff pad which moved some of the dirt and old base paint over the letters creating a nice effect. The Craftsman has some minor rusting but the Kennedy is like new.

    Orbit,

Thanks for the reply. Everything that you mentioned is exactly what I have done. Well, except I used Photoshop to re-size the images down to 800 pixels wide x whatever@ 100 dpi. Uploaded them to my site (where I can see the images just fine) and linked either using the "Attach Image" utility or using BB coding. Neither of those work.

It isn't as though I'm some computer dummy (heck, I built my own system from a bare case) or that I've never attached an image to another forum, so I can't see what my problem is here.

Maybe I'll try creating an album. I was just trying to save some bandwidth for the HAMB.

    Thanks again though.

  23. I just gotta say what an awesome "Friday Art Show" this week! So many, many talented people, doing amazing things in many mediums. It boggles my mind. I wish I could draw...:(

Here's a couple of crappy pics of a chopped full custom Chevy I striped recently. It is being finished for a trip to Cali as we speak. It is being built by HAMB'r Cyclebilly Bob of King Kustoms from Itasca, Il.

Pinstriping pales here compared to what you guys are doing around this 'lil world of ours. My hats off as I humbly remain.

    Here goes,

Yeah they do...it's called an "eraser".

But on to more serious matters.

    Too. Much. Pretty. Stuff.

The 1st one is something I finished this up a while back. Sort of an odd item but I still think it fits in the "art" category. 4" x 20" wood laminated Surfboard. All I did was the paint & striping. The pseudo-60's ying-yang logo is something I came up with so there wouldn't be any worries about copyright infringement. Supposedly the guy is going to sell these on eBay.

The 2nd one, while not actually "art" per se, is quite colorful. 4' x 16' MDO sign.

And, I've got something cool to share that I just finished up but I can't post it until tomorrow (in case there are prying eyes from a certain car club). It's a surprise for their 30th Anniversary.

Hey! Thanks Bill! Wife picked up the Johnny Bravo at a garage sale a few years back for .50 cents. He's about 6" tall. She picked up a smaller one last weekend on e-bay. That would be a good place to look. I am still trying to find a statue of "The Tick."

Pacheco! Thanks man. The hi- boy pickup is sweet.

Acrochicken- The photo speaks volumes. I love the movement. Inspiring!
