I appreciate what it takes to build something like that and to each their own but it looks to me like something Chrysler would build to sell to the m***es.

Agreed. Fine craftsmanship, but what part of this car was not bought off the shelf or tweaked by paid professionals? What makes it any different than 1000 of these things you see at every big car show?

    Ditto....

Now watch for the posts that tell us:

    A) The owner is a great guy.

    or

    B) Even if you don't like the car, you have to appreciate the work that went into it.....

    Who cares?

Someone should have saved that 32 and built a hotrod out of it.

We can ***ume that the original poster knew that this is not the style of car we like to see here. This isn't the first time that someone mentioned their involvement in a customer's project that was out of place but got some recognition.

There are some very talented people at Hot Rods by Dean. The shop has built some beautiful, tasteful cars in the past, and they're not done yet.

At times some of us on here can come off as a bunch of arrogant A-holes. I respond much the same when viewing a Fast + Fruitless Honda. Face the facts Hot Roding started out by guys that wanted cars built the way they liked them. In the 50’s had there been the availability of aftermarket junk, you would have seen more chrome and billet **** on their rods. If it’s not your style, that’s cool, but why put a man down for building (or having built) something he likes.

I'm not sure how that makes it ok to post their ugly *** car here. If you hit the link, four of the five are typical street rod ****. The copper car is the only decent one in the bunch.

To set the record straight, it was not built by the Hot Rods by Dean crew but by ALL WAYS hot rods. Chris (who works at HRxD) and myself are very proud of our buddies at All Ways. So BITE ME!* .....and yeah, the work and craftsmanship (trad. hot rod traits not seen in a lot of "trad" cars today) involved with this car would make you cry.

Congrats Randy and Mike and crew, you all did great and I'm proud to work with y'all!!!

I don't think anyone did. If you like fart can Honda's, build a fart can Honda. If you like muscle cars, by all means, build one. If you like stock restorations, that indeed is what you should do.

There are places that specialize in all of that. Just because many here don't care for it, doesn't mean someone shouldn't build it. I feel a little bad for the car if it's Henry Ford steel, but if it's plastic, eh, who cares.

    Here...
    http://good-guys.com/news/newsStory.aspx?newsid=1083

Joe Schott and Mike Way rolled into Pleasanton from Phoenix, AZ, with their eye on one prize – the Goodguys 2008 America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod presented by Hushpower. After a jam packed awards ceremony Saturday evening at the West Coast Nationals – they got their wish, taking home the AMBSR honors and the hand cast pewter award and the cash prize that goes with it!

Schott’s dream car, a candy blue ’32 Ford 3 window built by Phoenix based All-Ways Hot Rods is not stranger to the winner’s circle or a spot in the top 5 at Goodguys events. We saw the stunning coupe earlier this year as a finalist for the Street Rod d’Elegance ***le in Del Mar. Here in Pleasanton the coupe got the nod over four other ’48 & earlier street rods all of which were indeed beautiful!

Keep an eye on the Goodguys Gazette for a full feature on Schott’s ’32 3 Window – America’s Most Beautiful Street Rod for 2008!

We have a ton of time in that car, it is not HAMB style, and not traditional. Do not worry no original 32 ford parts were harmed in the making of this car.

I am sorry that it is not a pile of over chopped, over channeled RUST that many claim to be a TRADITIONAL car.

IF there is room on this board for S10, and Ranger frame swaps, A person can give a nod of congrats to a friend for hard work.

Thank You to those who understand the amount of hard work and sacrifice to build something like this. It has been a once in a lifetime experience, we felt we had a chance to contend for the Great Eight, but we could not get the car done in time. The Recognition the car has gotten since has helped make it all worth what was put into the car.

Will 2007 Hemi chargers with 24" dealer installed rims be traditional in 2060? I mean they will be over 50 years old.

why so much hatred on here? maby it's not in the right area, but it always seems there are a bunch of people who have to hate on others cars. if someone busts their *** to build something, have a little respect for the work that person did, those of us who build cars are so busy fighting each other that we can't see the big picture that there are a lot of powerful people out there who want to destroy our hobby, even if the traditional guys hate the import guys who hate the cars built out of a catalog guys, we all need to stick together in the common interest we have in building cars. just something to think about when there are food fights on here. :D end of rant.
