Yup. Had a FED in the 70s with the same clamps holding a 454 Chevy. Also saw them on TF rails in the 60s

Root this was my favorite car. It was ALL CORRECT. It ran at least twice, and they push started the car.

They took it to mid track, turn around, fire up on the way back, then whip around and run. No burn out, big revs on the launch, small wheelie at the hit, then the car would break loose and smoke the tires and slide around a bit. PERFECT!

E.T.s were in the 14's at about 100, but that is not what is important. This is what they looked like in the day boys and girls. This is what I want to see from a traditional race.

Great pics, and I was even there! The '63 Z-11 ran 12.20's with a bog on the low end. It's a solid high 11 second ride.

    Great pix...........

    Roothawg,
I think that he is from Ohio, they had the "Richcraft" roadster as a push vehicle.

Thats "The Lump" an Exact Recreation of a race car that was raced out of here in Cincinnati. Tyler Hilton, son of Bobby Hilton of the Hilton racing family owns it, He is young.. in college. His dad, Bobby and Mike Whitney of "Richcraft Garage" (32' roadster push car)took it this weekend. Its a killer car. VERY CORRECT!

Not built for shaving tenths off the E.T's!! Built for fun and excitment.

The members of the Hilton Family have some nice race cars.. a lot of original old stuff. They all watch this board pretty good. They'll see your complements and I'm sure appreciate them.

    Thanks.

totally awesome pics. Man it's really making me sick that I couldn't go. I hate being broke all the time :( Maybe next year.. I'm going to start saving my change strictly for the HAMB drags 2009.

Enjenjo Reply to the hose clamps holding the engine .We ran those 5 years on the front of a blown sbc very safe alowed ch***is to flex more than a rigid mount will . You just snug them down around tube instead of cranking them down tight. The ch***is torques inside them but the motor stays in same place
