Holy Grail would be finding a sport coupe body, or really any coupe body, for this ol' heap. Then I'll probably be crying for a decklid.

A lot of gems out there for sure, especially in the traditional hot rod genre, but how about a A279 "Ball Stud" Hemi ? :)

I'd love to find some speed parts for my '29 341B Cadillac engine.

    Do such things exist?!

Not That I know of but my father has a 28 convertible coupe, he made an intake to put a late model carb on and modified a sbc distributor, so far so good.

For value and rarity, IMHO- it would have to be a Pontiac RA V engine, they only made a few hundred crate motors in 1969-70. I've watched heads/intake sell for $12,000 on Ebay- and a complete engine bid to $30,000 last week and didn't reach reserve.

That's some serious coin for an engine- considering you can buy 2 running street rods or rat rods for that much now- and are more valuable than a vintage Hemi engine, or new Hemi crate engine.

old auction below ended already- just for reference

Here is another rare item.. A set of ORIGINAL 18" firestones.. I have looked for 9 years for these... I only ever saw one set availible, they were at Louiseville nats for $1100 and Poteet bought them right away. Thats when I figured I may never own a set... Then Out of know where, I've bought TWO sets in the last two months. One NOS pair for $400 and these for $150!!! I don't know if the "Coker Repo's" have guys scared that there gonna drop in value but I have a set of 18" Coker repo's... Thereno exactly the same.. I'm su tey can't be due to liability.

For me it was a set of early Hemi THOMPSON block letter valve covers. Ive heard of guys spending over a decade looking without luck......took me about 1 year to find the valve covers and front cover in mag one-piece-at-a-time!

next would have to be this Chassis Research valley cover for the early Hemi.

OH, and one of these also

Might say Im a sucker for the early THOMPSON stuff!!

Ive been looking for well over 2 years for a pair of Say Why-And Big Block Chevy valve covers without so much as a sniff.....go figure.

Quick question....how rare are Thompson parts? Not M/T stuff, but stuff with "THOMPSON" on it....

The one piece of trim for my '57 Buick that was missing. Had help find it.

I hear that... shoulda grabbed the one a few years back for $700. Can we add Nailhead blower manifolds?

Sounds like it could be cool, well unless you drive the shit out of your car. I know the SBC ones just shatter if the get hit.

For me it's '57 Desoto lower (i.e. sweeping) two door trim. It took me years to come up with a complete set. That's why I'm shortening it right now to put on my '49 Ford coupe. :D

Original Wayne 12 Port GMC heads for the 270 straight 6. "The location of the three 12-valve DOHC Wayne GMC engines, is still a mystery. As word of them turns up form time to time, it seems certain that at least one still survives. What a cylinder head that was, what and engine!"

    Nope no lighter!

Load your Lucky Strikes in and let the spring push them to the right, pull down the knob and a cigarette moves over so when you release the knob the cig pops out the top!

Ardun Heads for a V8 60. There are TWO sets here in Cincinnati. I didn't even know they out there..

    --------------------------------------

Edsel Fords (Henry's son) Personal hand made aluminum speedster.. It looks kinda like a 34 ford roadster with a 32 firewall and a "boat tail" Thought to have been lost for the last 20-30 years, it has resurfaced and is being restored in Tennesee buy a young guy in a BLACK SHIRT! He came to Ciny for some Original NOS parts for it. You'll all see build pics soon enough.

    ---------------------------------------

Always remember.. RARE doesn't always mean VALUBLE. Especially when you got it, and I need it!:D

What about those "skirtless" 33 Ford fenders? I don't think many of those are around.
True Model C people know about them.

  29. No shit. All we need are guys going "Yeah, if I had the (fill in the blank) that was only made for three cars, I could friggin' retire!!!

In one of my first exposures to eRip about 10 yrs ago, there was an Impossible for an Unobtainable: a spare NOS grille for the '38 Buick Y-Job. Are we talking about rare now?
