That grizzly press has very good specs for the price. It's got a working length long enough for about any axle we might use. Looks like a winner to me.

Finally found a list price for my OTC 25 ton press. Over $3000!!! And I got it for a whole lot less!!!

Foxy Lady, I am in for some bucks. I was so thrilled to learn you were taken care of by these heroic dudes. My hero for this event was our pal Earl Schieb (Mike Howell) who picked up a short block for me at the Springfield swap meet and brought it to me at the drags. I am so pleased to hear he was hooked up on the G.M.C. motorhome parts. And a thanx to No Surf, Hiboy 32, and a few other great guys for helping us lift the motor on the trailer for the ride home. We made it with no problems in spite of a tire coming apart on the trailer. H.A.M.B folks are the best!!!-Sololobo

I'm in for a ten spot. Can I pay you at Frankenmuth or should I just drop it at your house?

I just want to make sure I've got someplace to fix my car if I ever make it to MoKan!

Not sure yet if I'm going to Frankenmuth next weekend. I was planning on laying low for a couple of weeks to let the wallet rest and do some yardwork and stuff around the house that I've been neglecting BUT it might be the last chance I get to see some of my "northern" HAMB buds. If I don't make it I'm sure our paths will cross soon.

I do know for a fact that Ryno would like a press. Without him knowning what was going thru my mind I kinda "tricked" him into telling me about all the neat things one of these presses can do and he mentioned that he should probably get one since they are so useful AND when you need one, you really need one.

There is enough for this one that Rashy and Atch suggested, no shipping cuz it's less then one hour from him. Gotta confirm that he can get there and pick it up before I committ though.

    Therefore leaving $$ for this

and a slap hammer set if someone can find one for me. I've tried to find one on the Grizzly and Grainger sites but when I put in slap hammer nothing comes up.

I'll side with those who suggest that a 20 ton press is too light for the type of work most needed in this game. My 20 ton (a gift from a friend moving away) is more of a toy then a real workhorse. The 30 ton Grizzly is more in line for what he needs. Also the bearing seperator that was pictured is too small for serious work. The next size up is a minimum that I'd recommend.
As far as the collection for a press, anyone who can come to the rescue of my favorite HAMB lady is MORE than deserving of some compensation for his efforts. Besides I've found that paying it forward is the best policy. With that said I'm in for a donation to the cause. Look for a deposit in your paypal account Denise.

You're the ruler dude. I hope you don't get tired of all the new pals you're going to make in the area when they find out you have the only press within 20 miles that available on Sat, Sunday and evenings.:D

Putting in "slide" instead of slap worked better, thanks.

Thanks for your input Frank. I really value it. AND for the kind words. xoxo

I'm sure it is bent but I've been so busy at work trying to catch up I haven't even started to even think about starting on the rear yet. Will update them HAMB when it's determine for sure and what was done to correct the issue.

Thanks bud. Looking forward to seeing you at the HCPU.

Ryno, glad to hear the packages arrived and you're happy with the choices. They are just small tokens of appreciation from your friends on the HAMB.

To keep everyone else up to date, a 30# press has also been ordered but is on backorder. As soon as it gets to the warehouse in Springfield Ryno will head over and pick it up. This is the Grizzly press we got him.
