Event Coverage Done and in the Sun Tour 2008....Big Olds does Speed Week

At this point I decide to head over to the Inliners gig at the KOA. I mingle abit then get in line for some BBQ (missed hot dogs at the HopUp party). I no sooner get in line when this dude asks if I'm Denise. Depends on who's asking I say. He introduces himself as Noddy! What a treat! and I can't believe my luck.




We get a plate of food and proceed to enjoy our meal and conversation with a bunch of other very cool Kiwi's around. It was a PLEASE meeting and hanging out with you. Thank you so much for filling me in on the Beach Hop in New Zealand. It sounds like it my cup of tea so to speak. Megan and I discussed the strong possibility of visting next March so I'll be in touch.


I leave the picnic area and head over to help Rick load my go-cart from the pickup truck to the trailer. I then head over to the Nugget to see who's around before heading back to the Motel6 for a shower. Low and behold I run into GreenMtBoy who actually left for SLC with Bill this afternoon to head home. What the hell??? Turns out he got his departure days mixed up and actually wasn't leaving till the next day! So he got a rental car and came back. Anyway he hopped in Big Olds and we went for a cruz ending up back at the Motel6 where the Old Crow party was in full swing.

Well at this point I knew we were getting up early to drive to the Grand Canyon so I bid my buddys farewell and went to my room. It was tough to tear myself away but driving for hours on end in the blazing sun and heat with a hangover was NOT what I wanted to do the next day.

I'd just like to take this opportunity to mention I had a BLAST hanging out with each and everyone during this trip. I'm truely blessed having so many great friends both close and far away, that I get to hang out and socialize with.

Part two "Big Olds does the HAMB Drags" coming up sometime this week on another thread cuz.

Awesome! I love seeing your photo-reports. Sorry I didnt make it to the meet and greet. I stayed in silent-ninja mode the two days I went out, cause Conner was having some minor problems.
