Sorry for the delay. Wife was in LOTS of pain last night, took her to the ER at 6:30 this morning, doctors took out her appendix this afternoon. Sitting in the hospital with her this evening passing time and playing gopher. I'll get the pics up in the next few days for y'all.

Hey, take care of her first, man.

And tell her one of the guys asked you if she kept it. Maybe it'll make her crack a smile.

    Did she keep it?

hope yer wife is doing well
I put a 51 nash satesman on a lwb s10 , the s10 slid between the orginal nash unibody. had to raise the rear seat floor a few inches, and swap the rear axle for a narrower camaro. I'll post pics when i find them

  7. My 58 Apache is done with a 98 S-10 xcab frame, which was cut off and back halved. Works great! :D Just considering what it took to fit the frame under the truck, I would rate it about a 1 on difficulty. The building of the back half and bagging it is another story. Luckily I have experience with that, so it wasn't hard either.

After I put the the S-10 Blazer under my Henry J it sat to high for my taste, even with the 500 Cad in it so I put 2" drop spindles on front and reversed eye springs on back to get the ride height where I wanted it

i thin the distance between the 2 brackets is not hard to find out but the front of the frame rails to the first bracket that is difficult... :(

I know he doesn't check it that often. It might take up to a week or so, but he does answer people. Ed's a good guy!

Here is my Rat daily driver...I get S&*T for it on here but this was my first build. I built this car in 6 months really cheap in a shed with no heat running extensions cords, 4.5 inch angle grinder and a 110welder. Now I heard guys saying,,OH MAN, YOU RUINED A GOOD MODEL A!! well, this body was on a Toyota truck frame when I got it and its in ruff shape so I think I saved it cause this is my DAILY DRIVER!! Its fast, stops, handles and is safe to drive everyday. Its not traditional by no means and you purist who only drive your cars on sunny sudays will talk trash, I know.....Im building a '34 Ford coupe "TRADITIONAL" and I get it!! This is my beater!!! And to be honest, being my first build, it was harder this way....I really had to shorten the frame and do alot of fab to get this to work...I learned alot building this Frankenstien and enjoy driving it!!EVERYDAY, RAIN/SLEET/HAIL/SNOW....and sun, not as fun...- Later-E

You know, I'm actually glad you came out and posted this. Lots of people probably are curious about this kind of swap, but are afraid to ask about it for fear of ridicule. Others have done it and are afraid of the same.

I'm glad you came forward so we could see what it looks like. And you know, you may as well have used that body - I mean, it would likely be sitting, gathering dust/rust if you hadn't come along and pressed it into service!

What were the hard parts of this build? What were the easy parts?

How much of the donor was kept?

Would you recommend it to anyone else?

To be honest, this was harder than if I just got an A frame!! Took 14 inches out of the frame...hacked off alot of metal!! Being my first build, I thought I was going the EZ route with a S-10 with the 350 already in it....that was the only EZ part. It does drive like a dream thou for a daily driver....and believe me i drive it everywhere....Im at work now but when I get home Ill post a pic of the A when I got it...this is a Frankestien but is an improvement to what it was...it had old galvinized siding for patch panels...and really goin' down the road, people react the same as they do when I'm in my RPU and that was a period 60's rod!! Anyway, for me hot rodding is about FUN....this car is fun, cheap & SAFE!! Yea, the '34 is going to be awesome when I'm finished with it, but the fun factor goes down a little when you got a ride that you have to be careful in..this ride is a beat up A body on an S-10....no worries!! And besides, it cost me $12.00 to put new brakes on it!! I think my Buick finned drums cost a lil more...hahaha....I love traditional but sometimes beaters are more fun! And oh yea, I wouldnt recomend building any open wheel car on a S-10, the front end does look GOOFY!! Later -E

A lot of folks say that, but there's not a lot online in the way of pictures to demonstrate it! LOL! :)
