  2. Terrific pics Denise! There is nothing like being on the salt in Bonneville. Can't wait till we get the truck ready to go again ourselves.

I'm thrilled you guys are enjoying the coverage. I really enjoy taking the photos and writing the adventures for you.

One of the Kiwi guys had a professional camera with a wide angle lens. He showe dme the photo of the group shot he took. I'm just waiting for his to send to my email then I will post it.

From your mouth to "someone's" ears.:D

Part of my enjoyment is introducing myself to people, chatting and taking photos of them so I find it very easy to do. The uploading and writing is the time consuming part.

Unless plans change I know for a fact I will not be going next year. I'm using my limited vacation time and going to New Zealand for the Beach Hop. If that falls thru, planB would be a three week adventure out to the Pacific Northwest in Big Olds.

From your lips to their ears. One of these days, one of these days.

It's funny cuz Megan and I were brainstorming about having a webcam in Big Olds then one on each of our hats of something with a live feed......now wouldn't that be interesting.

You guys really have no clue how many photos are edited out of these adventures.:D

I know it wasn't you cuz you've never shown me your boobs :D
    [IMG]

yep, and days to write....all for the love of the HAMB :D

You look at it one way and I look at it like I missed remembering a half dozen guys names and I feel bad because of it.

    Congrats on the run.
I didn't know what car you would with . Those that mentioned a car number in the roll call post prior to leaving I made a written note of. I didn't have any car number next to your name on my list. Sorry bud. I would have gladly looked for you and stopped to say hi.

Of course YOU would notice that:rolleyes::p

    Now you tell me....

HRLC, That's it, now youv've done it. My eyes hurt, I can barely see the screen.

Thanks for the great adventure, again.

This thread pushed me over the edge. We're makin plans for next year. Four of us old farts are gonna cruise out. In a non HAMB car so we can go non-stop from Joisey.

Living the hot rod life thru you again!! I love it!! What a great summer seeing you guys at so many events and at my junk palace in Omaha, thanx for flying my store colors on the T-Shirt from Retro Rocket. I thought it was cool you spelled out HAMB with the letters in the shoppe in the Old Market in Omaha. All the rest of the trip is documented so great. The videos are priceless and really takes us to the event. Thanks to you Megan and Malcolm for all the cheap thrills!! Love Ya!!-Larry/Sololobo

Great to finally meet you Denise! Such a classic that we met in the queue for the BBQ... it was fantastic to share dinner with you... Shame we couldn't cruise as planned - but that is life.

Here is a photo of your Olds and our 60 Olds Super 88 and the end of the road...

Thanks Denise, I was starting to miss you and Megan's adventure posts. I promised myself I will someday get to Bonneville, but not until I can drive my roadster on the salt.

  20. Thank You, for sharing the great adventures of Megan and yourself. Your threads, really portray the personal side,to this wonderful hobby. Having travelled many miles, with various race teams,i really miss the people along the way. Your adventures, sure put a smile on my face, a rare commodity lately.:D We've never met in person, but I cherish the long distance friendships that are developed through the HAMB,especially yours.

Thanks for the great coverage. We're glad to hear that our insulation passed the "Gummy Bear" test. I guess Megan will have to find another place to melt them :)

Denise, thanks for the post. The only regret I had about the whole trip was I didn't know where to meet up with anyone from the HAMB. I found the tent by mistake as I was heading out of the pits on my way HOME! If I had known, I would have had even more fun!!!:D

Next year then! I am already plannin' the trip.;)

  29. Wow, awesome coverage Denise. I always enjoy reading your travelogues.

Thanks for taking care of my SFCC brother Brett (and thanks for the nice comments about the hats I painted), he had all sorts of interesting things to say about you and Megan when I saw him at Dixie Fried. :D

    Maybe next year.
