LATE 60'S, i 'saw/heard JERRY REED for the first time on RALPH EMERY'S EARLY MORNING NASHVILLE TV SHOW, seems like it was 5:30am or so.
J.R. would come on and 'pick up a storm' [from what i remember he'd be coming from a 'session'] it was strickly 'informal solo picking'. he was a real down-to-earth soul.
he and R.E. would have some interesting conversations![ R.E. seemed to never 'lack' for interesting guests as a lot of big names came by his show when they were in 'town'!]
JERRY REED had the knack of connecting and interacting with his audiences.
HIS 'CLAW-PICKING' WAS AN ORIGINAL!--[even chet said so!]

ever heard his 'HUGGIN AND CHALKIN?' look-it-up, itsa hoot!
