We are making progress on the T. We now have the chassis and engine fabrication and paint done and drivable. The frame is satin black with gloss black suspension. The block is ford red,the head is polished along with intake, FI, and the trans is polished. Will post more pics of chassis shortley
The body and paint will be finished this week. We are pondering colors. The body will be slick. Can't quite decide on a color. We are thinking dark Model A green or black.

    Any thoughts as to color?
    Thanks

Cool look'n truck. I like the hood! I agree, Washington Blue if you go gloss. Dark mettallic blue if you go suede. Either way clean up the door art and repaint it with one of the colors the same color as the engine.

Had a couple of PMs asking about the top. Five inches has been cut out of it. Still have a 14" window The front windshield is the original two peice with the five" taken out of the botton so there is the full swivel upper half.

The complete drivetrain, axles, rear suspension, steering, pedals, column, fuel tank, electrical and hardlines, are from a 2wd Suzuki Samurai. I used the sami front axle with buggy spring and haripins. Used what I had on hand.

Great looking ride! It's pretty radical, so why so conservative on the color?

How bout sand color with red wheels...

  14. John,

The truck looks good (lotso wires under thet thar hood:D) and I like the logo!

My choice would be Washington Blue (I'm a sucker for that Ford color), but if it's going to find a new owner soon, go with the gloss green.

Frakenrodz, Good point. I thought it was a conservative ride with its little 1.3L turd.
Heres where we are. I am at a point where I can spray just about any color except the HOK. I can custom mix almost anything. I like the semi flat metalics and the high gloss solids.
If you had a mixing room and this truck what would you do?
I like the green and the blue for the more subtle look to match its performance.
However I have been thinking of making a set of baffled zoomies.

We plan on spraying Friday afternoon.

I don't have access to a color chart right now, but I'd go Caramel gloss, with the firewall and entire underside in 1980 Chevrolet Creme (like on the Corvette).

It'll look like it could be period-correct, but will sure to be unique!

Be sure to post photos whichever way you choose to go.

    Mac,
We tried to do away with as many wires as we could. We hid the rest. LOL I would have never thought a sami would have so many wires and hoses.

fulltimeforester, I pick the sami four because it is what was on hand. We paid 400.00 for the sami drove it for 2 yrs sold the sheetmetal for 600.00 and used everything else. The 30 fordor will get the Chevy II four banger. I have a T speedster in the works that will get a Olds Quad four.
