OK, so this is a big deal for me - just thought I'd share. Haven't spent alot of time on here lately, and here is the reason why: About 10 months ago I sold off one of my F100s , the '56, and decided to build my '54. I had hoped to have it completed by Speedweek, but some unforseen obstacles prevented that. Being out @ B-ville for Sppedweek was still a blast, but it would have been more fun in the F100. When I got back home from the salt I decided to just buckle down and get it done. Well as of today the '54 is licensed and on the road! It has been 10 months in a two car garage with nothing - and I mean NOTHING -but simple hand tools and a Black & Decker grinder from Walmart. It still needs tuned, and a few things worked out, but she's running. Another great thing - including cost of vehicle, parts, and license and registration I am still around the 10k mark! I just want to tell everyone out there you still can build an affordable car in your garage, with little experience, and for a reasonable price. Thanks to everyone who has given advice! I will post some pics later. Right now I wanna go drive...
Beautiful. Be proud, you have a VERY sweet looking truck. I'll always have a place for those trucks. In my opinion, they very well may be the best looking trucks to EVER roll out of a factory and you caught and kept that look very well. Whether haulin' dirt or haulin' ass, they rule. Congrats.
Currently the stock 223 with 3 on the tree. Last time the odometer worked it register just over 98k...
nice effy i have a soft spot for those since i have a few one of the better looking ford trucks in my eyes.
I left the white walls off of it, because honestly they weren't the "thing" on trucks back in the day. White walls were an extra cost that most didn't spend on just an "old truck". Or so I've heard...
