Chris LeGrange comes from a hot rod family. His father, John LeGrange, was a member of the Oklahoma City Eliminators - a crew of guys that lived for hot rods and going fast. Apparently, one of them was pretty damn good with a video camera too... Chri...

To read the rest of this blog entry from The Jalopy Journal, click here.
Holy crap Ryan!! Now that's how to start the Friday morning Thanks!!!!! I think you know the dudes in the band>>>>.
Root, Do you know if the very last of that was in Enid at Vance AFB. Looked a lot like the hangers in the background and the radar shack that doubled as a timing tower. Time frame would have been about right. If so, I grew up just two mile south of there and would ride my bike to the races. Some pretty big names raced there for the two years they ran at Vance. I saw Eddie Hills twin engine Pontiac rail there. Great shots none the less.
Hey Chris you have any more pics of Steve "Brant" Martin's 55 chevy running or just pics of him back in the day. I sat and talked to him for awhile about your dads 36 pickup just this week at my Grandmothers funeral. did you ever ask him about my grandmother driving his 55 in downtown Oklahoma City? Brant
I don't have sound @ work but I'll be sure to watch it again (wathed it withought sound already) when I get home. pretty damned cool stuff
I had all of the film converted that we had. It is starting to deteriorate so I had to act fast. I wish I had more...... GV, that very well could be Vance. They were everywhere. One thing, the 59 El Camino that has the lady asleep on the pass side....that's Cody and Liz Parr of Parr Automotive.
It sure seems cool and I wish I could see it! My flash player isn't working right so I'm unable to watch it. There isn't any other formats floating around of it is there? Maybe I'll try someone else's computer.
Cool! I don't know when I'll make it out that way next, but I'll try not to forget about it when I do. I'd like to check out your projects again sometime anyway. Thanks Root!
Thanx to all involved who provided us with this steller hitoric presentation. Those were my personal racing years and it really takes me back to a pleasant time. All those altereds, gassers, front engine rails, way fast super stockers, what a blast. Just like the rush from the H.A.M.B. drags!!Sololobo
I'm pretty sure if they ever find a caveman stuck in the side of a fossil of a bent wheel, there'll be LeGrange DNA somewhere nearby. Root's roots go deep. They are the benchmark of good folks. I won't be shocked at all if Root Sr. pulls a wheely in a 1 ton '36 Ford farm truck with a chopped cab any day now. Thumbs up on the vintage car Pr0n!
Night shift at the Inmate work program really enjoyed the video Root, but Bob is pressing the button on my shock collar meaning time to go crush more rocks! Randy loved it too!
