Hey, for the fellows and gals that are really into the early California Dry Lakes info and photography from the 1930s and early 40s.

Feel free to visit our club's website and head to the bottom of the page, where you'll be sure to find a link reading,

    "History In Pictures"

That will take you to a section where you'll see some really nice photos that I have collected as copies from two fellows, (one our original club member) and the other the son of past member Jack Stebles.
I did not post them here on the HAMB, as I had only recieved the go ahead to put them on the club website, so there, they can be shared with others.

I look forward to finding more and sharing more as time goes on!

    Enjoy!

Somewere around here is a trade magazine from the late 1930's with a feature on Dry Lakes racing, the term Hot Irons is used in it too. When I find it I'll post it.

Very cl***y site, traditional quality, traditional values. Takes us back to a very different world than we live in today.

Yes! Please do, we are ALWAYS looking for as much info on the club and the guys that were in it as we can find. I know there is a mention of two fellas from the club back in an old Popular Mechanix mag.

    Thank you everyone!

Its very important to stick to our guns in this little niche,....I for one am just trapped in the early 40s,..HA! So it suits me well to have revived this little club .

Again, a big thank you. I'm just really happy to see others appreciating the history and images as much as we do.
