Went to a party at a friends shop, and took some pix of his toys.Notable folks attending included Denny Leske,John Kouw,Randy Northuis, and Dave Shuten.I believe the 59 belongs to Dave Shuten. Fuzzy
Been there a couple years ago when I picked up a flywheel from Bill. Neat stuff. How's his Kurtis coming along? Charlie
Bills super cool and has some super cool stuff. He is always happy to tell you about the cars and parts hes got and the history of them. He is friends with a lot of people with a lot of cool stuff. His Curtis is coming along looks to me like he has the mock-up done and it torn down to get ready for paint. But I'm not sure, it wasn't hurt in the fire to bad but all the bare metal has surface rust on it, so maybe that's what hes doing with it now. Not to be a know it all, but I asked him about those a few years ago. He said that they weren't Allison's but were some other experimental engines, but I don't remember exactly what. I can only take just so much info in at once, and it doesn't take long before you get overloaded there. Hey Mopar head I was there with the 60 ford f100. I talked to Jake and Kirk a little. Which one of the relics are you. I would have stopped and said Hi if I would have known you were there.
Do you have any more info on the digger? I can't make out the lettering on the cowl. From the photos it looks like it may be a Fuller built car.
Wow....if even half that stuff is owned by one person that is amazing! You wouldn't happen to have anymore pics of the green truck with the star on the door?
It says Wild Bill and then his last name. In case he wants to be anonymous I left his last name off. I think his friend painted it on there for him. Next time I see him I can ask him more about it If you want.
Dang! I remember when I was kind of notable. Then notorious, then note-worthy and now not(e) worth the trouble.
Is your truck red?If it is,we were in the barn at the same time for a while.I was at Trendway Friday night too. After it got a little chilly,I was wearing a gray jacket with "Honest Charlie Speedshop".Ithink I know who you are now,and next time I see ya' I'll say hi. Fuzzy
I'll post a couple more pix of it tomorrow.Mike, one of of my fellow club members, built it for his Dad.It has a Chrysler slant 6 with a turbo. Fuzzy
