Well after rebuilding my 97's twice this past year the carbs are acting up again:mad:. I have two fuel fiters and don't get whats going on. I'm getting shit into them and thinks it's my NOS gasket sets. I tried 6:eek: others and they were good for most of the summer and now, crap! So I'm thinking about getting some new ones to try out.
Did they ever go back into production and were do I get a few? How many CFM are the new ones as well?
    thanks John

Someone has been selling the new ones on ebay. Maybe check the completed sales to find out who and send him a note to see if he has more. Matt Werksman is also a dealer, although I'm not sure he has any. -Aaron

I provide rebuilds to Flathead Jack and can do a little better price-wise.

There are a few good re-builders around. The rebuilt one will run as good as a new one and you have an original one..
Remember, a cheap price on a rebuild could mean trouble.
    I'll toot my horn..

The stainless hardware on the new ones is real nice. Have any of the rebuilders used the stainless stuff when rebuilding?

Ouch! I just checked their website. They don't offer a complete kit for all the stainless hardware. Add it all up and it's close to $100.

I believe that the "new" ones are redesigned. Thicker bowl walls and some other goodies. Anyone used one of these. Are they that much better.

I had a car in the shop with a pair of them.....real nice!! As stated above I really liked the stainless hardware. All the little stuff is stainless....you know the stuff that is normally rusted.

We have four new Stromberg carbs on the Scorpion 1. They run great and look good also. They do have thicker bowls and needed some sanded from a screw boss to clear each other on the Weiand manifold. Cliev is the best and go to his web sit for a dealer list. www.stromberg-97.com
    Thanks Don Ross
