Event Coverage HAMB & Grits SOUTH Atlanta 9/14/08

Hopefully everyone has recovered from Dixie Fried (my knee is almost healed)
This week we are heading to the South side of town. Dirty Old Man has suggested Western Siizzlin Steak House, 1412 N Expressway, Griffin, GA 30223. Phone is 770-228-1064. 9:00am as usual.
Hope to see some new faces from the south side of town.
If anyone wants to cruise down from the Marietta area let me know and we'll figure out a place to meet up.

All the guys down in the Macon, Warner Robins, Reynolds area are only about an hour also! Maybe some of them can come up also! Anybody know how to contact those guys from over around Hamilton who were at the Drags in Reynolds? I know a few guys here in Griffin who might come if I don't let on to them what a rowdy bunch we are! Course they know me and what kind of group I fit in with!
Western Sizzlin has a buffet breakfast on Sat & Sun mornings, 8 till 11, $5.99 plus your drink. They have omelets cooked to order as well as fried eggs, with scrambled on the bar. There's all sorts of fresh fruit, bacon, 3 kinds of sausage, steak and chicken fingers, grits and potatoes, biscuits, rolls, toast, croissants, and muffins. IIRC, there's french toast and pancakes. This is all you can eat and if you leave hungry it's your own damn fault! We can get a seperate room I think, if we want it, let me know and I'll ask for that in advance when we get some idea how many are coming.
Preliminary post breakfast plans are to convoy to my shop @ 327 N.9th St. Griffin, GA 30223 for an open ended BS session with whatever you bring for refreshments. I'll lay in a stock of Miller Lite and bottled water.
I know it's a long haul from North Atlanta metro, but I hope lots of yall make it.

Last night I called Don Holley (Holley 3 times IIRC) and he called Old Kid (he's the guy with the beautiful black '32 tudor)and planned to contact several more around Macon/Warner Robins, and it looks as if we'll have several more from there.
Then I called Jimmy (Red Sled?) at Reynolds and as you can see from his post, Jamie is coming from there and Jimmy is also planning to come.
Today I plan to call the locals here in Griffin, and if they haven't got other things also planned, maybe some of them will come.
Looks like we may need the large banquet room!
