When I bought these bucket seats I was told they were 65-66 Impala seats. I've been looking on the bay for seat tracks for these seats. All the ones I've found have the seat adjuster handle pointing out the side not the front like mine. I've also not found any that have the same trim as mine. Anybody out there that can tell me what these came out of? Thanks, later shawn

Well, it kind of look likes a GM track to me, but my experience is really limited to '64/65 Fiero seats, which kinda look similar. Check out Impala Bob's web site-lots of seat photos there-nothing I saw that looked like yours, though. Someone here knows for sure.

Not sure what exactly they are, but i do know they are not 65-66 impala..
.The overall design look's to be earlier 60's....has the same general shape with the trim as the rest of the GM line..
At first i was thinking early 60's Pontiac or Olds, small car like tempest or F85..
They had a similar shape and chrome...BUT, although the chrome strip really resembles your's, it is slightly different and i'm not sure they have hole's to hold it in place in the same place as your's do...
You have me stumped right now.

I was looking thru his site. None of the seat covers matched either. This is buggin the heck out of me. I've found trim but it's smooth no raised ridge like what mine has. Thanks. later shawn

I think you have a recover job, not a stock pattern.
The clue to this is the unfinished look on the edge of the vinyl on the underside.
I think the chrome strip like yours dates from the early 60's.

many moons ago, I had a 65 Impala and those seats had the same chrome band around the tops, about 1 1/2 wide.

65's did have the chrome band, but it was wider than the one pictured and was placed at the rear of the seat top not in the middle and was relatively flat...
    here's a pic..

Thats the trim I found on e-bay. The set I seen also had a hole in the trim where the seat back pivots. later shawn

Thanks Sean, Those would work beter than originals as I need to lift them up some so I can see over the dash. Fords eh? I'll have to do some scoping out on the bay to see if I can match it up with something. later shawn

  13. I've seen something like that before but my befuddled brain can't think where. What's the back look like? I took a set out of a '65 Merc fullsize ages ago and I'm pretty sure the backs of them were hard plastic or metal.

They are all vinyl no plastic inserts or covers.

Yeah I'd never thought ford either, I mean I looked at mustang but they have the back pieces. It gives me a start to look again. Thanks guy's, later shawn

It looks like you have a set of 1966-67 Ford Fairlane bucket seats with recovered upholstery.

56don, you are correct. I found a set on e-bay last night. They have been recovered as that set I seen has a plastic insert on the back but they have the exact same trim as mine. Thanks guy's for the help. later shawn
