51fordshoebox what set up are u running?

 

pretty much all stock front with fatman granada drop spindles. and a 2 link rear..just had to cut out the floor, and raise it. the 302, and fmx also needed to be raised about 1 1/2"

 

thats about as low as you can go without raising or heating and bending the drag link. which i really don't wanna do. its about 3/8" from laying the pinch molding, and some frame in the front. with a 195/55/15

Sorry to be late in.... what engine, carb and inlet set up is that? My old man has had a Aussie 65 Hardtop since new and every once in a while makes noises about triple webers... I reckon it would be a PITA i ignoring little issues like the one piece head/inlet....

Probablt not what you wanted to see done to an old Falcon but I saved it from going for scrap by about 45 minutes if it will put someones mind at ease. The old race car was my fathers that I am restoring. As you can see, I cut the Falcon up to put the body (or most of it) on the old race car.

 

No, I think you did okay with it. Its another neat look of old school.

Wow that is neat, I race SCCA GT-1 with a friend of mine and the car is now able to run vintage races because it 20 years old now, but that thing would be great set up in road race trim, it would scare the hell out of people. and the shepard in the background is posing nice.

Here is are some photos of my 62 2dr wagon when it was freshly completed. All done in my garage by myself.

A bit of a custom.

- shaved door handles, antenna, mirrors, etc.
- mustang IFS
- 350 TPI, 200R4
- 63 Sprint interior, bucket seats, tach, trim, etc.
- Currie narrowed 8 inch rear
- 15/16 inch Torque trusters
- '99 Mustang Chrome yellow paint
- 63 grill

The car is very fun to drive. I get a lot of comments, either you love it or hate it. The purist can't seem to think outside of the 'blue oval' box.

So, is it done right ?????? You can't insult me, I have heard it all

I have a barn full of falcons done various ways........ nothing stock.

Its a great looking car with alot of nice stuff done. I am not a big fan of the Chevy engine but I have always said each his own. But the car looks done right. It might be a little to custom for this group but thanks for showing it. Lets see some of the others you have.

 

One of our club members, Norm, has a '62 called the "Turbo-chicken". It's running a Thunderbird Turbo Coupe mill. I don't have a current picture, but I'll try to get one. It's his daily driver. That thing is just weird! (Then again, so is Norm). hahahaha

Rob, Car looks great ! Looks like you shaved everything off but the door locks. Why not shave them as well ? I wish I would have shaved the fuel door while I was at it.
