    Hello fellow HAMBers.
I'm currently working on a 1955 Dodge 1/2 ton pickup. I picked up the truck in Jan 2007, out by Erie PA and brought it back here to NJ. I started off just fixing the thing up to make it a little more reliable to drive, and it turned into a full frame off resto. The truck was solid and barely had any rust or rot, so it was idiotic not to restore it. I kept the original 260 poly V8 and had it bored 30 over, polished and ported heads and totally rebuilt the thing. The motor only had 50,000 miles on it and the original owner kept a fully documented log book of repairs, the thing was clean!! I'll post a few pics of the progress in a day or so. If any one here knows a good place to get things re-chromed in NJ let me know and Im looking for a good exhaust shop to set up dual exhaust on the truck.

    Rob

Wooville! Haha that little parking lot by the bank drive through that everyone smoked pot in and skateboarded.

We probably know a lot of people in common, too funny! The Italian Feast is this weekend. Friday night should be good for gang fight in the street. Im moving out of Union in a few months, its...changed.

yeah, that was probably some of my buddies. We were always on bikes or skateboards over there. I might actually head back this weekend to go to the italian feast on saturday or sunday with some friends. I'll keep ya updated if I come down, maybe we can meet up at the beer truck if they still have it at the feast. As soon as I had enough cash saved up I bolted out of Union and headed west on 78, what a difference !

We will prolly be there Sunday. Thats when everyone wants to unload the food and beer. 2 for 1 deals!

Yeah we are moving to Howell, Monmouth county. I didnt care really at all where so much we ended up, just wanted some property (got 2 acres) and near the beach. We're like 10 mins from Belmar. Love it down there. Would like to be closer to the beach but for the price and how quiet it is even during beach season, it is the logical choice.

I should have joined this board a month earlier. My car club, the Gasket Goons had our first car show on Aug 17 up in Asbury, NJ at the Landslide Saloon. It was a awesome show, we had about 60 cars show up and quite a few bikes and roughly 500 people through out the whole day. I would have posted the information for you to come by. It's only about 45 min from union. We are gong to hold it again next year around the same time of the year.

Hey I grew up around that area, spent alot of time in the Liberty and the Stable when I got a little older. I've lived all around Union County and was living right off Morris Ave at the Springfield/Union border up till February. Finally bought a house in Cranford and really like it, nice and quiet neighborhood so I gotta find a project to make some noise and piss of the neighbors ;) I used to go to 5 points/ Galloping Hill all the time for the cruise night, does anyone know if it still happens or is there another good weekly meet anywhere around here?

Galloping Hill still goes on every Monday nite. The Lib!!!! Haha, that place sucks. Seems like it would be such my thing, but Ive gone a few times and it was all college kids. Last time I went I was 24 or so. Primered chopped 50 Merc 2 dr (my daily at the time) and I thought it would be old timers ready to tell stories. I was infact an alien that appeared and a bunch of college kids wondering what my UFO was haha. Oh well!

yeah, Union use to be a cool town, I had a good time growing up there. Now it seems to be going to hell. I also had to get out cause there was no good place to ride. I bought a Harley and had to deal with the moron's driving around there. I moved to Hunterdon and now all i have to watch for is deer.
