YEAH KIRK! WE NEED A SHOW IN VEGAS!!! Fall, winter or spring would be GREAT! Too bad Scottsdale is so close to SEMA, a GG show the weekend after SEMA would be easy to get vendors to participate and think of all the spectators!

Yeah, just move Scottsdale to another date. It's that easy, really.

BTW, went to Scottsdale in '06. Left home in a '32 highboy roadster with a Bop Top no side curtains, no heater. It was 23 degrees. Sure was a fantastic weekend in Scottsdale though.

I've already made my hotel reservations for Rhinebeck 2009. When might we know if there is going to be a change? Thanks.

    I <3 DENISE...

we used to go to indy all the time, i know it's hot and usually muddy. i was thinking bowling green might be good, especially in october. the bad thing about that track was the lack of access to the bleacher area.

In the next week or two. The 2009 schedule is holding up a lot of projects in the design department.

Hey Kirk, have how new is the all-years thing? Honestly been a while since I looked at the national calendar very close. Kinda suprised you didn't do a pre-88 step or something, not a whine by any means, actually glad to see the hobby become more inclusive.

Thanks again for having the best show going in the Des Moines area, hope you guys stay for decades.

The all-year events in Pleasanton have been that way for 10+ years. The OC event has been around for 3 years. Even with no cut-off year, 95% of the cars are still pre-'73.

Thanks for posting the dates! I will definately go to another one next year.

This last Rhinebeck was the first major car show that I have attended and it was really fun.

Met some great poeple and I really like the fact that there are alot of things going on like the model car show and the swap meet. My friend's that dragged me to rhinebeck go to indy too so I think I may check that one out.

Our of all of the ones I have been to... which is a ton of them from coast to coast for many many moons.... Columbus always seems to be the most consistant good weather show.

  16. It also could've been the time of year. We went to the first one and had a great time but it was brutally hot. Might it have done better earlier in the spring?[/quote]

YES !! I couldn't make it this year but went last year, good show but BRUTALLY HOT!!! Charlott is as close to me as Atlanta but I would be more prone to go to the Atl show again!!!

    Hey,

thanks Kirk.. i understand now, that makes sense, you would think that track would be more cooperative, they might make more money.

I wish HAMB drags were after Bonneville and Pleasanton the week after the HAMB drags, so I could do a 2 - 3 week road trip/ vacation

the only downfall for Bowling Green, is that KIRK! doesnt show up,

.... so right there is something to think of while planning your schedule for 2009..

i was really looking foward to geting his autograph this year, but was let down when i found out he wuldnt be there...

    ..something to think about.
