I'm looking for a competent and reliable flathead mechanic in NorCal, the closer to Sacramento area the better. I've just got to get my '53 motor squared away.

If you've got a garage or know of someone who has or even works out of their garage, please let me know. Hell, you'd be welcome to use my garage if you area a "have wrench will travel" kind of guy...I even have a fridge full of PBR to boot.

I'm sure that I could monkey around for the next few weekends and get things pretty close but I'd rather have someone get it dialed in.

Specifically, I'm looking to get the fuel delivery and ignition set up.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Look up this guy who used to work in Ed Stewart's Speed shop in San Diego,
He was doing specialized ignition work on ford distributors
Don't know if he would be interested but try giving him a call and asking for assistance.
