  2. Yes it is Wild Willy. The roadster was first run und the Harrell & Borsch. Jim Harrell, of Harrell Engines, built the engine. Mousey Marcellus came along later, and brought the nitro. That is the car that became the original Winged Express.

Didn't I read that the Teixeira "Corvette" was placed on a chassis from a former car of his ? A Willys or an Anglia ? Same car but not as much drag in the wind.

Yes the Willys chassis was used for the Corvette and when they updated the Corvette in the 70's the Willys chassis was destroyed:(

  18. Finally got this one scanned! Sorry for the poor quality but I guess in this case content trumps quality. This is
roughly '66 or 67' @ the Pond (home track, my dad still
lives in Sun Valley, Ca. If anybody has any more, it would be greatly appreciated. Ric. ric 001.jpg

  19. PS. For anyone who cares my dad and partners runner
upped to the Tiexierra Willys @ '65 March Meet in B/G.
The Willys in undergoing a bitchen era correct restoration by "Royal Shifter Skip" as we speak, check
out the "moment in history" thread. I only wish we were as far along on our restoration as they are. We will be at
CHRR though to hang out with our "gasser brothers".

  20. That Tavares & Plount Willys was show car quality. Ran all over So-Cal, and kicked ass! Wheelies like this were standard procedure.

  21. Not trying to kick a dead horse, just rescanned for better quality. 56 @Pond-2.jpg
