the tape line will be the new shape of the door,,,,,,front fender line is a go...
trim mock up is a go as well....(for today anyway,,hahah),

i want this car to be right,,,i dont want to look at it when its done and say "i shoulda done this,,,or i shouldn't have done that"...thats why its constantly changing,,,there are a bunch of things im actually very happy with at this point..

 Wow, that's one wild ride very cool looking lines, the flow from front to rear is very clean. Looks something like a cross between a '55 Merc, Lincoln and '53 Studebacker. The work is fantastic and can't wait to see the next step. Please put a top on it, which one will you use?

windshield will most likely be a chopped 55 buick,,,
the rest of the roof will be custom made..........

hey,,,,come down and see it in person sometime,,,,
basically all i did today was to get rid of the severe taper in the quarter,,,
flows so much better now,,other than that just tightened up a few things.......

  10. I've got to start following your posts more closely...seems like only a few months ago I was admiring the mild chop thread...

This incarnation is going to be unbelievable...very impressive vision.

You'll have to watch closely. My favorite is that his "It's Almost One Piece Again" thread was started just TWO DAYS before he cut the top off!

    GO JIM, GO!

  14. Superb - you did exactly the right thing with the "un-taper" on the rear fenders.

If I can add a little constructive criticism... I think you have a little too much height over the front wheel with the new lower wheel house. It somehow manages to make the body look even taller than before it was sectioned and the trim line doesn´t look like it lines up with the bottom of the headlight. Well, what am I talking about - you got everything else right so far!

Two words....Huevos Grandes! Man, that looks incredible. Nicely done lines. Where's Larry Watson when you need him? That jumped right outta the little pages. Killer!

  16. Everybody gave me such a hard time for saying I didn't like it with that tapered section . . .

the tapered section would have worked if i was going with ther fins,,because the fin would have brought the top of the quarter up to where it is now...but with the lincoln quarters,,it just didnt work,,,gave it too much of a slope..

from today,,,,,,,,,playing around with roof ideas,,,kinda hard to see some of the steel rod in the pics,,but if you look close,,you can see it...the windshield frame for the wraparound window will be a chopped 55 buick,,,i will most likely build a fiberglass removeable top,,,the car will be a two-seater,,,still working out the shape, details, etc..

and my shifter knob,,,this thing is an cast aluminum inline air filter from an old 1950s dupli-color touch up gun,,,,i really like the finned look it has, and thought it would make an absolutely kick ass space age lookng shifter knob,,,,there was a little nipple on the end,,so i ground/sanded it off and, added a little chrome bullet i had laying around the shop,,,and now have my shifter knob,,,,,,
