  8. Hey Buddy,
    Das Da chit.

I remember when you came by my place with that cab and a real nice lady in tow. I don't recall why you came by though. But it was a treat, don't get a lot of company.

Lookin' real fine, somethings take time.

    Wow, blast from the past.

Guess I need a little update.

    No update at all really.

I backburnered this project to go racing and finish other projects. Though its still in advanced mockup, and somethings fixed, I havent pushed it to the front. Guess I need to after race season is over.

I'd Keep the heavy frame and put duels on the rear. Keep with the heavy duty theme. Maybe even make a wrecker out of it.

yeah I'm going to bump this old mutha back to the top.

I just wrote Cyclone Kevin a fat check, and Nick at Hot Rod Works is soon to be the recipient of a sick polished Cyclone Quickchange center section to ***emble for me. This project finally overtook my thoughts going to sleep and waking up. So its front burner!!!

No real update, but this did show up on a shipping dock this week.
Hmm, and race season is kicking off pretty quick, so likely will just be gathering dust again.
I've been saving for the Cyclone Q/C for a very long time. I had a narrow window this winter to work on this truck, but the delays in parts blew that. I leave on Wednesday for the Parker425, then the following Friday in King of the Hammers then all the seasons are in full swing.

Thanks Cyclone Kevin, and Nick from Hot Rod Works.

Polished Cyclone Quickchange, yeah they are that rare!

Cool looking project and it sounds like you have the skills etc and support to pull it off.

Have you checked the scrub line of the front end?

Offroad this season went south fast, one car burnt down after a bad wreck near Reno in testing about 6 weeks ago and the 2nd car sold a week ago just by chance. Total focus for me has been on our Bonneville car, trying to wrap it up and get it on the salt in August. It will be 100% done in one configuration but that aint the configuration we can License in...so a lot of work on the licensing setup. Blah blah wanna go fast!

As for the scrub line....yeah about that....its umm....not real good....

    As for skills:
I found that I've been hand making brackets/fab work, etc.. for so long and they just weren't up to todays level of perfection IMO.
I just recently added a Torchmate 4'x4' CNC Plasma table to the shop (still waiting on all of it to show up and built a water table for it. But yes after Bonneville this truck will hopefully get some love. BTW its front and center in my home garage awaiting the burning of midnight oil.
Couple cool vids of some of the capabilities of a torchmate I have coming.

Tube cutting attachment (think perfect angle of tubing notches for things like suspension or rollcages)

Question does anyone know where Riddell (Joe Moreno owns) got the Denmans for his '25 Dodge? (yes I know Denman is belly up but hoping to find some in left over stock)
Wheels: '25 Dodge steelies with modified outer rims measure 20 inches on all four corners.
    Tires: The Denman 720s
(I believe they are 7.00-20) givethe roadster just the right vintage look, but with acceptable driveability.

    Heres the car in question.

    Attached Files:

  30. Denman's gone? Just checked their site - looks to be in business based on that.
