I did cross the tracks! But now I have the perfect balance, a hot rod and a custom! :D (The perfect balance until I find something else I HAVE to have--- maybe say a ’36 coupe ;) :D)

Thanks for the help, I’ll look into those and get with Bruce.
I don’t plan to wash it. My aunt happened to stop by today and said it would probably look a lot better if I just washed it and I told her NO it would look a lot worse. :D

The rest of the cars have been sold.

If I would have had your number I would have called you when I picked it up, you are one of the first people I wanted to tell!

You’re right, it probably has been together since day one. I think for now I am going to leave it together (take the tank out to boil though—wonder what the proper disassembly procedure is? any directions online?). I also am in favor of using a T5 but I don’t think I can bring myself to get rid of the Ford power ;)

WORD. Let me know what you find out on that B! :D I do need to do something about that windshield, definitely on the punch list for this winter.

Trust me, I think Amocat morning, noon and night—I LOVE that car!

Finding this roadster reminded me of that. I hope the owner sees that I found one and his is 100% safe now :D

Megan great score. I was all excited about getting a 31 roadster cowl section and then you show us this. I think we are going to need to get a bigger garage...;)

    Megan,
You rock, what a great start for your next project. I could not be happier for you . I can't wait to see the detailed build up.

  6. Way to go Megan!! The little roadster couldn't have found a better home and it proves that dreams do come true. My vote is to leave the fenders on too. Here is a '29 from Owatonna, MN that I have always thought was really cool.

It's not fair. Congrats looks like a great car for you!!

  8. Yeah, really! Jeff....did you see Megan salivating over that A-V8 roadster when Jess showed it to us all? I knew then she was gonna eventually own one but had no idea it would be this fast.
Congrats, Megan....what a great start. I'm happy for ya.

  9. Hey! I just noticed that 33 ford pickup next to the A-roadster..somehow it looks errily familiar.....

  10. Was that yours Rocky? I knew that Tman owned it for a while before it went to Owatonna, MN. I took these pics in June of 2006 on my way to Back To The Fifties, when I stopped to look at a Deuce Tudor body he had for sale. I can't remember his name but I'm sure his son is on the HAMB.

Don't cave to the HAMB pressure!
Build it how you want, keeping the fenders and running boards in the garage to change on and off whenever it suits you.;)

  12. Damn nice find. Yes, do what you want. I personally think the fenders and running boards would be great in your garage and the rest of the car in mine.:D

The time consuming (and dirty) part of that deal is getting rid of the rivets that hold the running board brackets on to the frame, and replacing them with bolts & nuts. There were '30-31's on the Dry Lakes with just the splash aprons, and they look good. Nobody likes jaming a shin into a running board bracket.

She's not afraid to get dirty...and has all winter to get everything done. Drilling out a few rivets will be no big deal. Finding room in her roadster for all the stuff we pack for a weekend event will be the issue.:D

  17. Megan such a great find. Congratulations! If you do choose to keep the A banger or go with a B motor, lose that 2 blade fan. They are notorious for developing hairline cracks that are hard to detect. Eventually they come apart and go through your hood or radiator!

Wow! I'll bet you're glad you didn't go to Europe with me now.

I'm really happy for you, It couldn't have gone to a better person or a more dedicated gearhead.

I could only dream of being 1/2 as cool as Veda! I think I will dress up like her for Halloween, bet no one will guess that one! :D

Gathered all the tune up parts and let her 'fester' for the weekend. Tonight I'm going to try to crank it over. I figure she'll go or she'll blow!:D

Pretty cool find woman! Clean all the big pieces of crud off of it, make sure the 'vital' fluids are good, do a quick tune and see if it will burn gasoline. Take it slow and give that Motley A some TLC before pushing it cause you done wanna lose what it took so long to find. Patience...
Congrats on the find and it's nice to know there will soon be another one back on the road. They was built to be driven.
