Not really car related but I know this is probably the best place to find someone to do the job. Anyhow, I have some Ti handlebars that I cut too short and need the ends welded back on. Real easy stuff, just a good bead should sufice.

    lmk......

One of the shops I go to here in Wichita Falls does a lot of Ti Heat Exchangers.

I could see if they would work it in (on the night shift!!;)).

PM me, I get down that way about once a week.

Well, these are for BMX bike my kid races. He wanted them narrow about a year ago and as he has grown over the summer, so now they seem too narrow. I dont think hes going to hit them with the kind of force that MX does.

Yeah I did, I need to reply to you.....

  7. If I had the filler material I could do it. Was certified many moons ago and worked on parts for the Apache hellicopter line of sight gun. We had to rebuild a transfer housing for the belt chain. Ran over 50 thousand 50 cal. rounds through it and never failed.

The trick is to keep you heat low and back purge if you do not have a purged welding cell to weld in. But for a small part such as this handle bar where it is tubular would be very easy to set up a back purge system. A trailing shoe on your TIG cup really helps too. Welds very similar to stainless but seems to get very magnetic in an welding electrical field.
