Thanks to Bart (speedrone) for putting this on. Had a good time! Bart's '55....one of the coolest '55's in DFW! This had to be my favorite of all the race cars in attendance. Hadn't seen this one before.....nicely done!! Very clean wagon Some cool trophies. It may not be the kind of thing the HAMB is interested in, but you have got to appreciate the time and skill it took to make that 1/3rd scale rear end setup. That was cool as hell...
Of course all the regulars were there... And I do believe Rob took home Best Interior. My hood latches kept the hood on. Where's the Fonze? Has anyone seen the Fonze?? Oh, and if anyone knows where I can get one of these stickers, I'd love to have one on the modified High School Ceasar gettin' it on... That's it! A few more at the link... http://www.thefidgiter.com/manifoldsonmain08/
I was just getting ready to post, but I think Eric stole the SD card out of my camera! I took pretty much the same shots!
Eric, Great photos. I did not get a chance to see all the cars that came and did not register. And thanks guys for the support. I enjoyed it...and hope everyone else did too. The city has never seen a car show like this and it made the street festival seem secondary! Bart
Me too!!! Looks so tough. Love the 55 too. Not normally a fan of Charcoal grey but that thing just looks so smooooooth, like liquid floating above the tarmac.
A 50 chevyII ? I didnt think they started till around 62 or 63 ? Great pictures ,Eric. Super show and very nice people . I think we need to start a club " The Thong Droppers " .
had a great time and nice little cruise..........Peck, thanks for the push.. looks like most of the pix are covered but here is a link to some of mine, http://1952streetrod.googlepages.com/album_gallery.html?album=5250871152696286977
I've been to several local shows this year and my two favorites would be The Invasion and now Manifolds on Main. Great job, Bart and crew! Thanks for sharing these pics, Eric. Good stuff!
Thanks for the pic's ! I had a great time while I was there . My day turned to shit on the way home , my center air filter jumped off soon after we left show , no big deal . Then soon as I got on 45 to head home , running about 70 my car started making a grinding noise and shooting sparks out from under the car , was in the inside lane and had to go three lanes over to get to shoulder , throwing sparks all the way . When I slowed down on shoulder it quit grindinding , right before I stopped there was a loud thump , when I got out I heard a jingling noise looked behind me , and my headlight was laying on shoulder beat all to hell ! The bolts that held bracet to frame horns had broke , and the light fell in front of axel , I was pushing it down the hiway . Will be needing a B L C 682-J with chrome ring . Will order a new breather from Night Prowlers tomorrow .
that gold, chopped fastback was built in Wichita 20+ years ago by a guy named Kenny. Doug Shoemaker got it from him, and has had it up until recently. I haven't seen any of those guys since I left the area in '92, back then the car was white with yellow scallops and had a 250/3 speed
That's because many people just gave up and left, even some who were pre-registered,including me. If you're interested in knowing more, look on page 3, maybe 4 by now......
Great pics Vato (Eric)!! Thanks for taking time and posting them .Sorry I did not get to talk to you much while we where there. My 8 year old son and I own the 65' p/u in red primer that was parked next to you ! See you @ Pistons n Paint!!! Big Vic
Thanks for the pics, Eric.. BART- Give me a shout late next spring about volunteering for next year, I'm sure there are several of us that would help you out. Sad I missed this one, the wife was recovering from minor surgery.. she's doing fine.
It was a great show! thanks to Bart, it was one of the best outdoor shows that I've been to, we'll be back "Doc"
Big congrats to you Bart! You took on quite a big responsibility and really pulled it off! I'm sorry I missed it, but the drive from Paris France in the coupe would have been hell! I look forward to seeing the show next year! From the pictures, it looks like it was a big hit! Congrats again!
