Does anybody know anything about the blue on the car in this link? http://50chevy.com/photos/strangers2007/IMG_3517 I am looking at Hot Rod Flatz Daytona Blue Pearl for my bike and was wondering if maybe thats what they used.
i don't have an answer for you, but I am very much interested in knowing what that color is. I like it a lot.
I have a friend whose pickup is Daytona Blue pearl. I'll post some pics later on. That picture looks close, but it's always hard to tell on the computer vs in person.
I was waiting for someone to point that one out. I know it is blue, but there are lots of shades of blue.
that color has the same affect on me as taking 3 viagras. heres a duece i found a while back with a color a little similar. it could be just a base coat of a bright blue but it seems to have some metalic in it. i would love to know the precise color and technique
thanks for the info there captain when i sprayed my pickup with red base it gave a look similar to this and it retained its "satin" look for about a year
Hey no problemo always willing to help.. No charge either... I gotta admit thats one bitchen car.. Dave
Hey, It kinda looks like a Mopar truck colour, but I can't bump the picture up big enough to tell. Swankey Devils C.C. "Meanwhile, back aboard The Tainted Pork"
There's another pic that I think is the same car on http://aprilmayphotography.com/gallery.html that I think is the same car. It is also Blue, applied with a spray gun.
This is from jawdrpn36. "its a honda blue i can get the paint code from him but i remmber its a honda color thats easy to find"
Trust me don't ever use Hot ROd Flatz, the stuff is absolute shit! I've never sprayed anything worse. I would rather base a car in acrylic paint it would flow and flash better. Stick with basecoat... if you want protection use a flattened clear like PPG clear with Liquid flattener. Just my opinion.... but it is from experience..
