    Godspeed Ryan!

Good doctors + following orders = successful experience!

.....and thanks for the key idea! I have never carried a keychain while in one of the bikes. Now I know how to do it!

Cool Key Chain. Hand that bundle to the surgeon and he'll have everything he needs to fix you up. Be carefull where he installs the solenoid though for the remote to operate. The wife may have an idea or two for that. :D
    Good luck on the surgery!

I hear having a fat wallet padded with hundred dollar bills is bad on the back.

Probably why my back is fine!

    Good luck with the surgery!

Tools...I don't like the micro because it comes only with scissors; I figure the knife can subs***ute for scissors, but the scissors cannot do the jobs of the knife and pliers. I have a similar widget by Sebertool USA which has pliers instead of the scissor and I think considerably better locks to hold tools open in use...locks needed blueprinting but are good designs.
And your flashlight is...sorry, sorry...old and fat! Get a Coast LED, which is about the size of an ultra slim cigarette, brighter than an oncoming locomotive, and weighs nothing. It uses funny batteries that probably have to come from radio shack, but I've had mine for 5 years and it still is doing fine on the originals.
Add sliver gripper tweezers (meet all your surgical needs) and either a P-38 or a P-51, and you are ready to not just survive but recreate civilization wherever your plane crashes...
I also carry an Adler Bundeswehr surplus pocket knife, in case I need to fight off rogue elephants or cut down a tree, and because I think mul***ools make poor pocketknives.
How about a HAMB edition Sebertool for the company store? You could delete the fingernail stuff and replace with a Stromberg jet wrench and Crab terminal tool...

  8. Heya Ryan...

Norwell told me about your back surgery last night. Hope everything turns out well bro.

Bruce, the flashlight... I actually have a Coast LED. And it's small, but it doesn't compare to the ARC-AAA in terms of weight or performance. My Arc has a custom ***anium body weighs less than half the Coast and is four or five times as bright. In fact, the ARC is brighter than a 3xd-cell Mag light. It's incredible.

are ya gonna get a H.A.M.B. dicscount? i also tried to go without surgery for as long as i could holdout, till i could'nt stand the ****in' pain anymore. glad i did it, over 15 years now and i'm like a new man without any more problems, unless you've experienced back problems, there's nothing worse. hope your surgery goes on without a hitch! good luck bro.

Yeah...we need an Alliance surgeon for backs and one for removing stuff from eyeballs...
They should be right there in Mexico so Ryan could just put them on the HAMB corporate jet (a flamed 1959 Dehavilland Comet, for the styling and proper age) and send them direct to the eyeball...

    ***anium clips:
    http://www.berkeleypoint.com/

    Arc-AAA:
    http://www.arcflashlight.com/

The Arc is made by a small company that had to close down for legal problems for a few years. When they were closed, these little flashlights were selling for 3 to $400. Now that they are open, you can get one for less than $100.

If you are into flashlights and like spending money, the best of the best is the Draco:
    http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=149410

It uses the same technology as the Arc, but uses a shorter battery and you can still get them in ***anium. I think you would be crazy to spend $300 on one though.

  15. Hopes it's laser... BobK's recovery was amazing.

Oh, leave the keychain at home if you plan to fly... Full body cavity searches are a P.I.T.A.

Uh...yeah, I know.....but it reads as though a "standard" flashlight is too heavy for ya, hence the Ti....;)

I can now see why you'd eliminate the fingernail file.......:p

Guys, I'm not sure they still make that version of the Micra. (not an O on the end). I think you can get one with plastic on the sides. I have the original and carry it everywhere. I also have a big one for when I'm not teaching. The Micra is great, I have seen clones w/ pliers somewhere.

Best wishes, Ryan! As I type I am 5 hours out of cataract surgery. Still fuzzy sight, double vision, etc, as promised. It's supposed to be a day or two before it shows how good it'll be.
