I'm tentative, but if my doc doesn't have me in the goddam hospital, I'll be there. Will confirm before the 19th.

 

We'll be there with the K.S. Pittman 33 Willys and Boss Hydro 33 Willys AA/GS cars. Plans are to do a re-enactment of the match race my Dad had with K.S. there 40 years ago! Here's a pic from Vargo with my Dad and K.S.

For the last few years I've been going to Jalopyrama in Baltimore the same day. What's this event like? I haven't been to Vargo since 1963. I guess it's time.

 

We've been there from pretty much the first one. It GROWS every year!
Pretty neat range of cars, its always cool to see the cars and meet the people that raced there back in the day.

I asked hotrodsurfer to post this up after another hamb'r suggested I organize it. I'd love to , been going to the vargo re-union's (even the one that weren't at the track back in the early 90's) since they started. I declined on organizing as i intend on bringing 2 race cars to the event this year and believe I will be alittle busy?

are you guys also running at the philly modifiers meet at atco on the 19th?

 

Unfortunately not. We'll be in Henderson N.C. for the East Coast Drag Times Hall of Fame. We really enjoy racing at the Modifiers events, and will be there for the Spring event.

 

for anyone going to atco on the 19th i will be there, grey 4door 60' bel air with a red roof, or find me selling parts, i will have a set of 100 spokes rims! lol

Thinking about spending Saturday night and going to Reigelsville Sunday. Sounds like you need to get there early. Is Reigelsville North or South of 611 and 313 intersection? How far?

 

IT is north not shore of milage but i know it is a 30-45 minute ride,if you are looking for a motel more up that way let me know and i will see what i can find,the ones i set you are in the pa turn pike vacinity

I'm going to try to make both Vargo (Saturday) & Reigelsville (Sunday) as a spectator. Both were very good last year, with Reigelsville getting the nod because of the superior swap meet. As of a few weeks ago, there was some construction & resultant road closure along the Delaware, not too far south of Reigelsville, so beware. I think they're finally fixing the flood damage from three years ago.

 

next weekend guys-anyone who plans on coming and parking in the HAMB area, tell them at the gate you are with the hamb and look for the banner
