    Mark, thanks so much for all the time you take to post for us too! Like someone else said; it's like a novel. And this one's a real 'page turner'! This is such an awesome and exciting build thread!

    You're gonna feel sooooooo good when you're all done, and you can finally just soak it all in. Congrats to you for being able to experience it!

    These headers are custom made by Steve Kent and are done as close as he can to the photos.

    Dave and myself installed the nose piece so I can fabricate the moon tank and dry sump oil tank mounts.....man is this car giving me the chills.

    In the days of Fred and his Father they were doing this car right.....I can see how they ingineered this Willys to run fast and look beautiful.

    Great thread, I can't believe I haven't found it before. That is one car I remember seeing in race coverage in the magazines time an again in the 60's. Great work and it is great to see that it is being restored to that level.

    I am in the process of fabricating the gas and oil tank mounts....very tight area in the car.

    The two 6 volt batteries were mounted in 1/4" plate steel boxes for weight transfer.

    Chrome column and rechromed steering wheel was installed. Also the glove box doors and gauges were installed.
