Thanks, yep 6'6" but I think converting it to a two door and moving the seat back a few inches will be plenty.
one i did for the neighborhood kid the stance i want for my 48 i want my wagon on the ground with whitewalls
JamesD, The sedan delivery version looks pretty sweet. I like what you did with the wheels. I will probably take my centers and have them popped into something wider. I think wheel vintiques does this.
Glad you like it. I should have probably read what you wrote too huh? The artillery wheels really suit this era and style of car - wires can be too old looking. Not sure how you´d do a convincing Sedan Delivery with that big trunk on the back either. Your two door plan sounds better.
Lono has it right on this one. Well there is no trunk on my car, it's a plain 4dr sedan (not a touring sedan) so no hump back! which makes the 'vicky' look alike option a cool one. no one will have anything close! of course i just need to come up with 20k for the metal work. I think it's a bit beyond my skills!
Dunno if it's been posted here or not (or maybe I missed it skimming over the posts) but you folks looking for P-shop mastery here on the boards, might wanna browse some of the members of the HAMB F.A.S.T. group: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/group.php?groupid=80 It's where a number of us who post to the infamous "Friday Art Shows" sorta hang out. A buncha us there work digitally as well as traditionally. Myself, I work in P-shop 14 hrs a day as a digital painter for Marvel and DC comics. Some folks there might not have the time to take on extra P-choppin' projects, but you can always ask...
I really gotta clean that garage out, those boxes are starting to multiply! Talk about putting door dings in other peoples cars!
oh no no, i was just kidding. I think your renderings are awesome. I'm having the time of my life seeing what you and the others are coming up with. Your version has actually put all new life into my project. I'm again excited about my car. I'd love to see some different paint schemes. I think the car could be unique. Anyway, thanks again for the 'chops....keep 'em coming! edit: the door ding comment was referring to if you actually tried to open those stretched doors while parked next to someone else. It's like my dads 63 impala..the doors on that thing never end.
I seen a guy who made a truck out of one of these in real life. It was one of those $50,000 customs. It was around in the 70's but haven't seen it in a long time. Just made me think of it when i saw your posting.
here's a HAMBers car... he wanted it photoshopped in grey primer and a mild chop. I was in cartoon mode so I did this instead.
Haring did this for me a few years ago here on the HAMB. Before... After.. ...and now it's almost a reality. Neal
