So the wife got invited to this event at the Fluevog Shoes store on Melrose ( I think this might mean she buys too many shoes) Anyway, Fluevog was there, and a very nice Canadian fellow he is. But the real star of the night was his custom Jaguar, which was parked out on the street. It's looks pretty sweet in person. I got a few photos:
I dunno, there were lots of cute girls at that party... four doors means more girls can come back to the hotel for an "afterparty"...
Looks cool and appears they did a lot of mods to it. I am not sure I am into the paint scheme. I would have probably just painted it all a 3" deep extra shiny, perfectly smooth black. What does is say on the caps? Fluevog maybe I guess? You sure that's a jaguar and not some crazy over the top 1 off something with similar style?
I never thought someone could make a MK10 Jag look good but that rocks. A lot of very subtle mods. Like stude trucks I'm not sold on the paint scheme but it does capture the earlier Jag style.
http://www.fluevog.com/files_2/flueguar.html It's been on here a couple of times, pretty damn cool...
Over all its cool, i think the grill and headlights are uglier than **** though. Too rolls royce ish for me.
The grill and headlights ruin it, as well at the color choice. Something more more toward the blue hue would have been better. Overall a cool design though. And I agree with Coop.
I always thought that that model had one of the best looking engines around! I wonder what an old Jag engine would look like in a fenderless, hoodless, 30s something Hot Rod. Would it be "traditional", I guess not but they were good looking!
Cool. I agree, deep black instead of the creamy colors would make it much richer looking. Dont dig the front end either, but very sick otherwise. I like cl***y stuff. Thanks Coop.
I like the whole rig, the four door even seems perfectly correct. The paint is smooth, all black is on stock jags, so who needs that. *****in interior!! Thanks for sharing this kinda o.t. build, but a neat custom!!-Sololobo
Damn, that car is rad. I really like the peaks on the headlamps and then the MUCH nicer (than the original car) rear end. Looks like someone put a ton of money into a very unloved car.
Australian Street Machine magazine has had an Expression Session feature for a long time. Jeff Haggerty was the artist whos work was used for many years. Here is his custom versions on a MK 10 Jag from 1997
My friend "Frank the Shoe" is the manager for the Fluevog store here in Toronto. He told me about that car but I have never seen it in pictures before. Nice.
That Jag is *****in'! Something tells me you weren't driving your A and outcl***ing him though. Ha Ha Ha
