Hot Rods LIVË WIRË totally re-done

I wanted to see what moon disk looked liked so I stole these off of johnnys Roadster..I always wanted to see what a full hood looked like too and I think i'm digging the whole thing..I also put in the side blue glass... I might do this Version for real some day..
I want do a weekend drag version too some day...maybe I should get it running right first hahahaah...

what do you think of this version?

The thing about the hood is it covers a REALLY pretty engine.

Yes on the glass, no on the discs. Just my worthless opinion.

j/k! looks cool in photoshop.but like it much better the way it is in real life.

 

I do agree about the motor...especially after all the money i got into it..
but I would like to have different looks eventually that I can change overnight...

 

I think the hood would be great if you had a small block ford with greasy valve covers and a leaky autolite carb.

i think the moon discs contradict the rest of the car.. you spent lots of time and $$$ to find and chrome all the cool speed parts and then you went and bought moon discs!! they just dont work for me..

hahahaha I photoshoped the disks..and every thing else...the glass was always the plan

Since you asked .....
The moons are totally out of character for the car.
The hood looks disproportionately long - did you stretch the front of the car? It might be the angle of the photo but it just looks "off" to me. Almost Bonneville-ish

Hood and sides-look cool(occasionally!)
blue glass-looks great!
moon discs-don't like them(not right for you car)

 

Why are Moon Disk out of Character and contradict the car? I think there correct era wise and were used on show cars as well as race cars,,

Ya the hood would be a bit long due to the way we had to mount the grille ahead of the
crossmember...its the picture too..

But i respect everyones opinion and like I said this would be some thing I can change
over if I wanted too.. It probly won't happen for a long time since i'm broke..but it was
fun to photoshop it and see what it would look like..

I like it Evel. And the Moon disc are definately right for that car. After all the chroming that would be about what a hot rodder could afford. Either way killer car. Heres a suggestion though, photoshop the headers more in line with the flow of the front rails.

 

I think this version gives it a bit of that "Futuristic" look that some builder were going
for in the late 50's early 60's and it tames it down a bit from the "HEY EVERYONE CHECK ME OUT WITH ALL MY EXPESIVE CHROME" hahahahaha

in that photoshp of it,,kinda reminds me of that T coupe with the flip up lid,.

 

Boy howdy you sure like to get these guys stirred up over a photoshop redo job. The moons might be fun if you had a set of tires that had more of a salt flats racer look to them to swap out just for grins.

I like the looks of the hood but have to agee with the others that it would cover up that knockout engine. But it might not be a bad thing to have for the times when you have to park the car in a motel lot at night. pop it off and leave it in the motel room during the day and secure it at night.

then the following weekend its back to a show car...

yes that is a good point and thats sorta of the Tameness about it I like..then in a instant
its ALL SHOW
