Not really many hot rods, apart from the couple that we cruised up with, but still some interesting stuff to see. Show was on in Geraldton over the long weekend just gone. It's about a 300 mile trip from Perth to Gero, so we met up on the edge of town and headed up on Friday morning. My wife actually took this shot out the p***enger's window using the 'stunt camera'. As you can see, we were heading into a bit of rain on the way up. ACME30 and SNOOZIN. Did a quick lowering job on the Rumbler, i.e. boot full of **** for two kids... Sun was out by the time we got to Dongara and had some lunch at the bakery. The coupe was looking good, so I got a pic. Headed up to Kalbarri on the Saturday (about another 100 miles north) and after a bit to eat at the pub, went down to the Murchison River gorge lookout called Hawk's Nest. This Mustang was very nice. Apparently bought new with a 302 and then stuffed with a 428 CJ and drag raced for the rest of its life. Same bloke that owned the Mustang also owned this GT. This '49 Ford ute was just finished in time for the show. There is a LOT of neat stuff on this car. This is the interior on the ute. Console is made in steel as are the armrests. This was great. A Citroen four-door that had apparently been shortened and turned into a two-door. I'm guessing the colour is French Blue, of course. Sweet '58 Mainline ute. I love speedway bikes. Someone's got to do one for the street. Really nice XM Falcon Deluxe ute. The guys owns a paint shop down Freo way, I think. Really neat '67 Galaxie was for sale for $28,000. Neat Monaro had a big-block in it. This was for sale for $15,000 and had a fresh gloss black paint job. Fresh as in painted the night before! It needed a cut and polish, but it didn't look too bad. The Miss Show 'n' Shine was decided by a People's Choice type vote. I would have voted for this girl's ****s, but I don't think she cracked a smile all day.
The Wiggles meet GEARHEAD! My boy with a hot rodding mates daughter. Gay arty ****. Colourful bunch.
geez... and I thought I was hard up for tradional stuff here in sincity. You westerners are really struggling! You'd better move to melbum after seeing seans pics of the chopped show!
steering wheels on the other side. the water in your toilets and sinks swirl in the other direction... anything else in the wrong spot you oz guys aren't telling us about? if so I want to see some pics.
Nice pics as usual Boris, but aint it fun loading up for a weekend away with 2 young kids!!! Suspension will never be the same again.
The suspension has been stuffed for a LONG time. LOL Must have looked cool though as I overheard a couple of wogs at a petrol station as I was filling up, "Check that out! Look how low it sits in the ****." Hahahahahaha... if only they could see the pram, Esky, toolbox, box of nappies...
