I bought one of the cheapy aluminum ones from Summit for $199. It was in a 50 dodge with a 350 and mild cam. I liked it a lot. I had a buddy put one in his model A. They have different sizes so I dont know if the one he got was specific for the A or if he "made it work". All I know is they are super cheap and keep it cool.

  3. The Speedway one looks like an Afco. Prob is, they tend to leave the true origin off many products.

My touring had an Afco and it worked perfect despite its small size.

Actually they have the Northern stamp on both of these puppies!
I did call Northern and ask for prices to see if it was cheaper to get them from the factory but they were a little higher.
    Speedway bulk buying I guess.

I know what you're talking about with the Speedway repackaging. I have a few purple boxes with Spal parts in them but no mention of Spal anywhere on the actual part.

  7. True, the trick with Speedway is to know which of the parts are worth buying and which ones aren't (universal brake pedal kit is a waste). I was lucky in the time I worked at the rodshop I ordered and got to see lots of parts ordered from Speedy Bill. Some are excellent and some a waste of money.............might be a good thread on its own?!

Having been a customer of Speedy Bill for 29 years, I agree. Some items are a little iffy, almost like you have to have a sense of humor. Overall they have been great. I returned only one part over the years and they took care of it.

Thats good to know, the thought of spending $800 for a radiator at this time makes my butt cheeks tighten up!
