And pretty fast too, it was moving real well at the Day Of The Drags last year.

  11. Looks like a nice car even without a chop and 4 door. I'd drive the hell out of it.

  15. I was at the Mangus shop when the Sam Barris Merc was being trimmed, actually they were only just starting. Chewed the fat over what was being done, colours/ fabrics etc and had a sit in it. A good moment. The floor was all bare so it was a thrill to be able to see all the stuff that gets hidden under carpet, up under the dash etc.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the heads-up, Tony!
I thought somebody had torn a page from my script.

I think the Merc is fabulous.....BUT....I really had to force myself to look past the colors and graphics choice........Imagine if the car was painted a traditional color like black or navy blue or burgundy.....I think more guys would check it out closer and see the coolness and inovation.....It's pretty refreshing to see a guy stick his neck out......

I think the headlights are where it really loses me. They look like 39s or so? Assuming that we're talking traditional (isn't that what we build?), I don't think many folks would have put 10 year old headlights on their Merc.

I kinda prefer em in crappy primer with uneven gaps around the doors, but to each his own! :)

Yeah, I know it's kinda crazy, but I like that it's different from the rest....I'd change a few things for sure like the colors, and do something with the lights....but I didn't want to be to quick to write it off....I'm looking at what it could be....We all know that back in the day there were some pretty crazy cars...well this has the potential of being one of the better crazy ones...:D
