What a great time! This was my first year to attend the Hunnert Car Pile-up and I will definitely be back next year! I agree with what many others have said - this event seemed to be well organized and the attendance was high.

It was great to see a bunch of friends that I only get to meet up with at events like this. Also, I met a ton of new people, including many HAMB members. It was great to see and meet all of you. The people really are what make these events such a great time... well it really helps to have cool hot rods and customs there, too :)

I'll post a little more commentary with my photos - here's the links to the rest of the threads:

I met up with hot-rod roadster (Gary), Rob Lee and his son Robbie, and junkboys and his wife (TJ and Lisa) on Friday morning. We headed out of Omaha just after 8:00 and made the 7 hour drive with just a few minor issues.
The trip back wasn't so great for Rob - he ended up with a bottom-end knock, but made it home safely, thanks to Xderelict (Dick).

In the past 9 days, I put another 2,000 miles on the Galaxie! - before the Pile-up I made a few trips up to Sioux City, IA, for family reasons.

As always, I had a great time with Gary, Rob, and Rob jr. I had really only met TJ and Lisa once before. I had a great time with them over the weekend, also! I am really glad that they joined us on the trip and hope to see more of them. What a great couple - super nice people! Lisa's pickup is cool, too.

Here are a few photos from the trip:

    All fantastic pics Malcolm.

I'm guessing Django and crew have done another DVD of the event so looking forward to buying that.

    Nick,

Great seeing you again. Your group was a great one. Thank for the photos. One of the best trips we've taken. Well worth the 10 hour drive from Oklahoma. Glad you all made it home safely.

Great to meet you, too, Brandi!! I definitely want to take a trip out to the West Coast some time.... especially since I was five years old the last time I was out there! :)

It was great to see you again, Scott - always a good time!

I've enjoyed talking to you at the last couple of events and look forward to the next... too bad it'll probably be next spring!

Great to see you again, too! I have a couple photos of your car that I'll get posted later...

Malcom - Thanks for setting up all the links! I wasn't looking forward to collecting them all! I saw your car Friday night and thought "I know that car from the HAMB. It came a LONG way!" Thanks for coming!

RustyDeuce - We have never produced a DVD of the show, but a film crew put out a nice one last year and there was crew there this year filming the show from every angle. I'll see if I can find out who it was and when the DVDs will be ready.

I'll let everyone know when the DVDs are ready. Our shop is a distributor. Last year's DVD is still available too.

Quite a few, actually... but I guess more people were there to look at cars. :D You should've seen all the skinny girls in short skirts huddled around the heat lamps at the bar Friday night!

yet another amazing show - the Chrome Czars pull it off with seemingly no hassles or drama - of course this is just the view from the outside - but over all - I still say it is the best 1 day show in the world.

If they ever decide to make it a 2 day - then there may be some arguments for the best show............but so far - I have never been to a better 1 day show!

Also - thanks to all who stopped by and picked up the Vintage Torque DVDs and magazines - we really appreciate it and I hope that everyone will check out Issue #3 - we are hoping to have a focus on the Hunnert..........
    more on that later!

    Thanks again - John Wells

Took too many pics to post here, so for the Mercury fans out there I just picked out three mercs to show you . Click on to enlarge. Thanks to everyone who helped with a super show & swap. We drove up in my 54 chev with 2 extra buddys to spend some money at the swap meet. Great show! Tomcat 1
