now thats awesome, man he must be patient to build that haha, speaking of small sbc's theres a guy around here who works tech at the dragstrip has a 70 camaro with a 262 sb destroked from a 3.100 stroke to a 2 and 5/8ths inch stroke regularly pulls 10k runs mid to high 10's is a 233 cube
there was a guy around here that had a comp dragster like that.... something like a 150" fed buzzin' 10k ....
I wish someone would start selling those as kits, it would be so cool to ***emble and run something like that. Especially for people who want to be involved in cars, but don't have the space/cash/understanding woman to get the real thing. I'd be ready to put cash down!
Check out baem.com. These guys build all kinds of mini-engines. Wander around their site and you can link to all kinds of mini-engine, machinist stuff. The steam engine places have you finish kits of many types. I heard a baem club guy say the block castings for the engine he built was available for sale. That was a while ago though.
Thanks for the link...absolutely checking that out....got me one of those Revel 1/8 Scale 32 roadsters that needs some real engine sounds!
Damn nice. wonder what horse power rating is on it. put that in your plastic model for the next car show and see if ya win.
A guy built @ 1/4 scale '32 roadster, complete with fully functional, blown, 1/4 scale SBC and trans......back in '86..... I used to race high end R/C cars and had the first issue of R/C Car Action (summer 1986) and it was in there....later issues had an adverti*****t to buy it in kit form, with some final machining required.
If an understanding woman is the roadblock, that guy has WAY bigger problems than his lack of a project car
It must take incredible skill and patience to build one of these scale engines and make them run. This little SBC has got to be by far the most detailed and scale accurate of any that I've seen. Amazing.
There unfortunately are people like that. Now that I think about it, the engine would help him. I'd bet at full song it's hard to hear *****ing
I think this is probably GM's covert attempt to save their ****s with a new concept for an economy motor for the world's smallest Camaro do out in 2012.
What a talented person to machine and ***emble this mini motor let alone start and run it. He has my applause. Just 2 pages ago someone on here was asking advice on how to make an already running engine run better. Now here is this guy carves an engine out of a piece of steel and it runs like a clock.Quite a site!!!!!!!
Of course, you guys have probably already seen the tiny flathead he made... http://www.moyermade.com:80/challengerV8.html ~jason
here is the mini offy in action. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QBhi...head-engine-miniature-v8s-that-really-gallop/
