Hiya folks My mate wanted something different for her birthday. So she organised a chop party!!! she hated her skyscraper of a moggy... So she called her club mates and asked if we could help her... it would have been rude not to.... So Sal drops her car off to start stripping out Friday night. We gut the inside out. Bright and early yesterday morning we start!!! Off with the ariel and paint...(in the important places anyway) A bit of bracing... (just so is doesn't go tooo pair shaped)
Being Sal's car she had to make the first cut It's a race!!!! Cut round the rear window... We have lift off....... Hmmmm no roof.... Check the fit... Sal welding up wing mirror holes....(they were nasty) Re-fitting..... Rear Window Grinding down the welds
Hmmm, glad to see there's time to relax!!!! Deb's helping out.. Sal welding in rear patches.. Filling in the patches Last job of the night was to put filler on then we all went off for a bbq and relax in the evening..
Earlish this morning we got back to it...... Whilst the blokes carried on sorting out the body work and the side window frames!!!!(that took an age!!!! what with the body shape and we slanted the b pillars to give it a better look!!!) Us gals sorted out the front window. Making the template. Now with perpex.. Eventually it's in!!!!! (that took hours and that's why there's not many photo's from today)
And finally Sal drove it home a couple of hours ago...... Not bad for a weekends work... Like to say a BIG thank you to Sal, Rob, Toots, Debs, Jesus, Kookie, Smithy, Spencer, and Taildraggin for the use of garage and stuff. A crackin weekend was had by all..
Thats cool! when the dollar get's to be twice the pound, im going to import those Moggy's by the dozen.

Daisy, I think an ''A'' is probably EASIER to Chop than a MOGGY! Once you've practised on yours, you can pop round here to do mine!!!!! I've got plenty of Tea and Coffee,Oh and biscuits too!
HaHa, this chopping thing can get quite addictive, it's such a buzz seeing the transformation, even better when there is a load of you doing it..... Chuck in a bbq as well and you never know.......lol
Yea she's lowering it and plans to change rear lights, tires, headlights. Just taking it one bit at a time as it's also her daily driver, so can't be out of action for to long.
I still LOVE MOGGIES,I've had a couple myself. Nice to see shes goin' about it the RIGHT way and using it as she Kustomises it!Great start and with the RIGHT sortta Friends around her she can't go wrong!
