Does anybody have any good pics of his prostock Mustang 2?

I've searched the net with not very much luck I can find alot of the pinto and the fairmont and also the t-bird.

I know this is a 70's deal but, the HAMB has all the resources you could ever need.

    Thanks guys

I don't remember the Mustang II so I've been sitting here searching, like you did. I find no mention anywhere about a Mustang II. They mention the Pinto, Fairmont, Plymouth Arrow, T-Bird and Probe but nowhere does it say Mustang II. I don't know--

I got some pictures of that car buried somewhere but it was orange when I saw it. I think it was up in Michigan somewhere.

I seem to remember back in the 80's either CarCraft or HotRod drove cross country with Scott Sullivan in that cheeze whiz orange big block 55 Chevy. That car had Motor Wheel Flys on it and they broke 2 front wheels during the trip. They do look mighty cool though.

I think the issue was folks trying to run the mag fly instead of the aluminum. They had fairly thick blades & a decent center if I remember......

I've got a early set of negitive Monocoque 3.5's with mag center spacers that shouldn't be run on the street either - so they sit in boxes waiting for another chance!!

I thought those wheels were one-offs??

    I could be wrong.

  13. Now I remember that about Scott's wheels. I'm pretty sure they were new Motorwheel items at that time. Scott ended up finishing that trip using Weld Wheel fronts.
Was this Glidden car the one where he got caught with nitrous in the frame or in has fire suit?

A bit off topic, but this Bob Glidden question came up on another board.....Anyone know where Bob Glidden's 79 Plymouth Arrow is today? Who owns it? Last known was Paul Gentilozzi when Glidden went back to Ford in 1980.

    Part 2:

If anyone gives a ****, i know where you can get one of Don Nicolson's Mustangs (same body style as this Glidden one). It's got tube-frame, fibergl***, big slicks on back, etc.

It's still for sale as far as i know. It was only thru dumb luck, (since i'm definitely not into ford) that i broke down where i did(several states away) and the tow driver that rescued me happened to end up with it. He is a character in and of himself.

There was a Dyno Don Mustang II on EBay several years ago. It was missing the frt end. Then the Stinger 2 Comet popped up on there. You just don't see stuff like that much anymore.

Glidden and a Mustang ll doesn't ring a bell. Dyno Don, Scott Shafiroff ran one and I think Ronnie Sox drove one for somebody, but I don't remember Glidden with one.......good hunting

The Glidden Mustang II was built by Don Ness and it was not run very long, as I recall there was an issue with a loose heim joint on the steering and Bob wasn't happy about it when it came loose and nearly crashed, or something to that effect. The car was sold to a guy and it was given a very ugly paint job, and after that Lee Hunter got it and it was painted blue with yellow lightning bolts, it looked very good at that point.

Glidden had always run Don Hardy ch***is and the Mustang II was his first and only Ness car.
