The only patches I've come across were NOS panels. Very pricey. I'd love to get my hands on some solid lower rear tail light panels. Those, and a driver's side door project I'm working on are the only things holding me back from paint.

I'll post some pics as soon as I finish blowing filler dust out of every crack and crevice in my garage and me!

What exactly do you need? Whole panel or just some small patches?

  2. Forgot I had these lying around...this is the truck that made me want to get my own 'Fridge

Here's one I just acquired. It has a front clip from a '76 Lincoln Continental with it's drivetrain, 460, auto trans, power steerining and brakes. Trying out wheel cap ideas in the pictures. I'm getting rid of the funky side view mirrors and white letter tires. Not sure if I'll go with white walls.

Hey Rabid, I went outside to take some pictures this morning. Please excuse the quality, it's getting cooler and damp in the northwest.
Basically, the tailgate is a homemade jobbie made to fit after the bed was channelled 5 inches. I have 5 inches of clearance between the rear axle and bumpstops in the rear. Might go lower but I'm planning on using the truck for occasional towing.

Thanks for that. I'm always interested in seeing customization on the backend of a fridge. My own plans include cleaning up and pushing the tailgate into the bed proper.

I never understood why Ford left it on the outside of the bed. The design lends itself to the contrary.

Here is a new shot of my 58 at the Hot Rod Fall Out last weekend. The plan for this winter is a 6.5" lowering and some lettering on the doors. I bought this truck sorta on a wimb. Never had any proclivity to own one. I've had the truck for a few months now and I love it.

Here are some shots of a '59 we just finished. Some of the mods include custom tailgate, frenched 50 Pontiac style taillights, custom tonneua cover, widened & flush mounted 65 Nova rr bumper, rounded door corners, custom grille, narrowed & flush mounted ft bumper. We also restyled the roof above the windshield to eliminate the stock forward leaning roof line. The box floor was raised, the wheel tubs were widened & the rr frame rails were kicked 6" & air ride was installed.

  21. Before anyone says anything - it may not be traditional, but I don't car - that is gorgeous!

  22. Yeah- that's probably the hottest '59 I've seen.

--Would look tuff with some well-done nerf bars instead of bumpers, tho.
