First time I've ever had to pay and I've been to every other one out there in the last year...I've always parked in that lot.

You must of been sneaky then ..;)
there are still plenty of free spots but, this was a big turnout, perfect weather..etc

Just park out on main next time ..and be careful to look both ways while crossing cause,, those SOB's will not stop to let you cross !!

I have been to all of them out there this year and I have never had to pay to park in the main lot.

I don't know, maybe you got there earlier than they were charging, that lot is owned by the FORT WORTH CATS.. the started charging awhile ago ..

It's like when you go to the fair and some guy waves you into his yard to pay him to park ..I parked for free, I just walked an extra 100-150 feet

Whats the big arguement over .. they charge ..period

Question: How much is parking at LaGrave Field?
Answer: LaGrave Field offers two large, nicely paved parking lots. The closer lot is $5 for parking and the secondary lot is only $3 for parking.

Swaps lately just aren't the same. Way too many Ebay priced vendors. Walked around today for a couple hours and picked up a few things. Saw quite a few things I would have liked to drag home but can't justify paying the price asked for something I MIGHT use in the future. Damn, I miss the OLD Pate.

I agree with you about the old Pate. It had its own atmosphere. Nothing like dodging the cow **** and wading trough knee deep mud to find the right deal. It was the best. I used to save up all year to go to that one.

There's no argument...just saying I have never paid to park at Lagrave, and I've been to the last 3 in a row, and however many before that. I do get there early though so maybe I snuck by. To show up this time and have to pay to park in that lot (the lot I've parked in every other time I went) for the first time kinda annoyed me. Just sharing...

I ***** about ebay too and the prices they get. But I didn't see anything cheaper in Ft. Worth....barely saw anything worth buying at all. In fact, the only good parts of going to Lagrave lately have been hitting up the Army surplus store and hobby shop on the way home. I think I've been to my last swap there.

Pate and Decatur are the only two worthwhile swap meets in DFW. I guess I'll keep hunting eBay and Craigslist for my parts otherwise.
