Art & Inspiration The Photoshop thread to end all Photoshop Threads!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Pair O' Dice, Oct 10, 2008.

  1. Please explain this concept of "a bit too low". Until reading this I'd never considered that there was any such thing as too low!:rolleyes:

The beauty of the work done on this Morris is the fact that everyone's been very careful not to mess up its proportions. Even with all the material that's been removed from it. it gives the impression of being a much larger car than it actually is. If in this picture it had a '50s Buick parked near it, or a 6' tall person standing alongside, you'd get a real idea of just how small this car was. There was a reason why it was called a Morris "Minor". You've all created a great optical illusion here!;)

  2. I was wondering about that too! Who is this guy, and what has he done with the real Rik Hoving?!:D

Awesome James D...how bout some gold on top and black on bottom....diggin those wheels!...you guys rock at this!

  5. I´ll do it if I get a moment. Wasn´t so sure about the gold top - not sure where to finish it, as I thought it might look a bit much on the pillars - and I wanted a dark colour to make that chrome roof trim really pop. Leads your eye to the shape of the roof, and hides the roof pillars better.

    JamesD,
Can you try some different colors for the truck you did for me?

  8. So I screwed my brain back in for another version of the Falcon and didn't get so carried away this time. You get to leave the stock roof on it and you don't have to weld over the rear doors. Just shave off the door handles and the side moldings, but I'm gonna have to charge you extra for the bodywork on the front fender.

Was trying for a darker maroon or burgundy color but didn't quite get there. And it still looks like a semi gloss paint job. Got to do some more experimenting to get the highlighting to look better.

  9. For Vein

[IMG] It's just lowered, and I only did it in paint, just to give you an idea of what it will look like lowered untill a photoshopper gets at it.

To RIKSTER, Thanks for doing the Jimmy V. car in panels! I'm seriously at a crossroads of what I need to do with paint because of this! Good thing my car wont get painted for a couple of years!

  10. could some one do this moggy in another colour for me do the scallops gold and gloss black on the car and some gold steels and whitewalls thanks you guys

thanks custom crestliner! gives me some inspiration! I bought the paint already was wondering what it would give me an Idea of what I am going towards. My plans are to have pearl white scallops ontop of the purple.

  12. Could somebody photoshop out the light pole and power lines. This picture would be perfect without them:

WOW nice work Guys. I can see this is going to become my favorite thread. I own a graphics, logo and print company and I do PS about 8-12 hours a day 6 days a week. Check it out.

I usually Love the Vettes, almost any year.
But the Z06 to me was missing something. I mean its a SuperVette so it should look like one as well.
For me its not aggressive enough, the wheels are nice but bland for a supercar.
So heres my stab at it. This is the Z06 Sportroof.
Can you spot all the changes?

There's over 45 layers in this pic.

Heres a "Muscle Machines" Version LOL!

I made "The TerminVIIIor" (My Mark VIII) into a Winternationals Class Winner from the past.
Sorry about the quality, the pic IS 34 years old ya' know? LOL!

I think the Mark looks sensational as a AA/GS Car!

    Original of my car.

  23. What Paucho is refering to is the subject matter of your photoshoping, not your ability. This is a forum for traditional rods and customs that are pre 1965

The first thing I would have done is "unwrinkle" the port-a-wall.

Here's a quick, subtle one I did on a '62 Falcon. Nothing fancy or new, used the same old wheels (they just look too damn good!).

    Click pictures for full size.

I removed the chrome front fender trims, shaved the door lock, c pillar, and rear fender badge, as well as a raked back stance and of course those wheels that I'm so fond of!

Here's the original for comparison, or if anyone else wants to have a shot.

I was going to modify it some more but decided to keep it subtle, I thought it looked good already.

There is a motel near a friend's house that is being torn down. I made it to look like an old post card.
