i need some help. i need to buy five 1966 batmobile matchbox cars in the packaging. i have called a shit ton of toys 'r' us's and wal-marts with no luck, i'm just put on hold for 20 minutes at a shot, and then they say they have none.

this is not really off topic, these are for a project that involves someone we have all heard of and such, i can't give away the details just yet.

any help would be sincerely appreciated.

    thank you!
    tred.

i realize e-bay is an option, i just wanted to see and inspect the packaging for myself to make sure it is pristine. i'm anal like that.

were there other package designs aside from the "2007 series" packaging?

Yes, you can see some of them in the photo linked above. The bright yellow flash on the right is only during the first year of production (which was 2007 for the BMobile). The new production ones should be on an all-blue card without the "2007" flash. These cars were hard to find when they first came out, but no longer. If you visit enough TRU's, Targets, Walmarts, etc. you will come up with 5 fast enough.
