I bought some seats from a '67 Thunderbird for my project from Brian (TbirdBrian). (for $100:eek:)
He was coming down from Michigan to Oklahoma to pickup a car, so I drove up from Dallas and met him outside OKCity. Well, when I got there, the seats were as gorgeous as the pix, EXCEPT, he said after talkin to me and knowing what all I was revamping on the Dodge, he figured I could probably use a couple extra interior pieces which included the Center Console, the Back Shelf, the Kick Panels, the Pillar Posts, the Glove Box and the GAUGES! (He had no idea how bad I needed those gauges...lol)
And a special Kudos to Jared (JRODHOTROD)down here in Austin as well. Since I'm new to the area, this guy knows all the great/hidden junkyards around here, thanks man! And of course Vince (shadowmtkustomz) for putting up with all the inane questions I've had and always having an answer.

    Cheers,
    Jef

Yep, he stood in line for hours at the Penis Motel in Austin to make sure I got a reservation there for the Lonestar Round last year. AWESOME pal

Yep, hanging out on message boards that consistantly trashed the HAMB, Ryan, and me, and being best buds with guys that do the same...yep, that will certainly keep you out of the loop with the real rodding world. Wonder what your motive is for hanging out here now after YEARS of being mean and nasty. I wonder if your son knows about your past behavior??

  5. Yeah, but you left out the part where you sent Ryan about TEN TIMES what it was worth

What comes around, goes around, brother. ;)

Ive borrowed tools from complete strangers with no deposit other than my word. and gotten bushells of invaluable information and advice from people.

  7. I was a relative newbie to the HAMB a couple of years ago when my daughter Gianna was bitten by a rattlesnake and had to be lifeflighted to Children's Hospital here in San Diego (she was only 25 months old) and had to receive 27 vials of anti-venom...posted a thread on here requesting prayers and received innumerable pms and kind words and also received a generous gift from a fellow hamber who requested anonymity and asked us to use the gift to purchase a nice toy for Gianna and something for her twin brothers (5 years old at the time) so that they wouldn't feel left out...I tell you that when I read his kind words and felt the true spirit of giving I was deeply touched by that and cried like a baby and still tear up whenever I think of that...thanks again, Ken/oddrodgarage

  8. Yes Denise, my son knows all about my past behavior and that's why he's such a great guy and keeps his nose clean. If you followed that board much you will note how many times I tried telling them to stop slamming the HAMB even though I didn't come here. HAMBers that go there no that as fact.
I don't consider myself mean and nasty and wasn't on the slam Denise wagon with the others.
The REAL rodding world is NOT on line but is with people, real people that I could touch. It's not my fault I'm out of the loop due to health issues.
My motives for hanging out here is because I got tired of the BS over there, yeah, I still go there but rarely post.
You will note that when I came here my sig said....Emil....46Driver
I wasn't hiding from anyone, I have nothing to hide. And I am sorry if you feel I offended you.
I told that crew what they could do and where they could go, you know who I am talking about. And, yes, I was friends with them even when I didn't agree with them.
Now, if you can find any post where I slammed The HAMB be my guest and post it here. You shouldn't even find one where I slam you.
That's about all I have to say, I'm sorry you feel the way you do about me.
Going back to the SRS days and what I asked you in that chat room, I was asked to ask you that from another woman member. I was knew and I thought it was a joke. I gather from your attitude afterwards it wasn't and I apologize for that.

And to think, all I got was some stranger trucking my seats all the way from Michigan. I could've had a cumpooper!

I try to do as much as I can (which isn't enough) for as many as I can. Glad to see someone who is obviously well deserving recieve such a gift. Right on!

I don't even know who all the people on the HAMB that donated money for my sons funeral and to help out his wife and his two babies. I'm forever grateful to each an everyone. Thank you all so much.

I never visit any other hot rod forum - why bother when you've got the HAMB!

What I can't understand is how anyone could give Denise a hard time? How you could find something wrong with a lady who drives her car all over America, taking awesome photos (for her awesome show posts), dishing out warm cookies, smiling her ass off all the time and hugging everyone likes its going out of fashion! And I've never even met her. :) Sounds like another reason not to visit the other hot rod forums!

    Viva la HAMB

Breeder has hauled parts to me at the pile-up two years in a row, BIG THANKS!!

Bob K supplied a room for me at the Bowling Green Goodguys.

And I've learned a lot from just reading posts here.

    Thanks to all.

  13. It was a very cool move on your behalf.

I still have some poncho flywheels :D:D

  14. I was just reminded by seeing the pic of Wingnutz shit eating grin that we flew him out here one year for some reason? Why was that? He is a funny dude, filled with big smiles and a kids attitude.

I did'nt even read this post... but I saw Mr. Ace's name and had to see if he posted or what he got himself involved in.

I love that guy with all my heart. He and Kali are swell. I deserve a phonecall buddy, miss you!

Pay it forward, bunch of hippy mumbo jumbo, but perhaps that angry lesbo whose car I jump started in front of Thai House last week might look upon me in kindness and not just as a container/donor of hyper intelligent sperm.

Geemann51 is the best, I posted a want ad on the board here and in 15 minutes Geemann51 PM'd me and asked for my address, sent me the part I needed and didn't even want paid for the shipping, but I sent him some beer money anyhow. Thanks Pal.

  17. Hey, that was a good story! So cool...good luck Max.

My grandfather is blind, I hate that I can't share hot girls or cool cars with him.

Also like to add a little story...

Awhile back I had 1st read about our friend Hamb Andy. What a kid, what a story. I had zero dollars as I had just been ripped off by and X friend/biz partner. Wasn't feeling to good about my friends I lost and loved. They'll just never get it!
But I was also faced with money getting tighter and I was now in scramble mode. Andy's story touched me so much when I 1st heard it. I coughed up a meezly 100 beans that actually hurt even worse in this time... but it was well worth it. With really no money in hand, I felt amazing being able to help someone who deserved it.

Two days later, I had a check in my hand for some major bread that was long over due to me. Lawers and friends told me I'd never see that money as I made my vows with a handshake. I always think about Andy now... and how we helped each other.

Lots of great people here! But then again, we do have a few Rat Rodders here too. Ahahahahaa... Thanks Andy, thanks Hamb! Good night!

MAX ! .....I'm so,so very happy for you my friend. Enjoy it everyday!

I have tried to help out many, many of my HAMB family and Ryan over the years.

When tragity hit my family a few months ago, and I lost my 25 year old son Cody in a car accident, my world hit a wall. My fellow "Poor Boy" brothers brought a Texa Casia tree and planted it in my yard as a memorial and we named it the Cody Tree. They also made a parts auction for us here on the HAMB, and you all were so generous, it helped so, so very much in paying for all of the expenses that we have been faced with these past months. I don't know who all did what, but the love and prayers have been everything we have needed to get from day to day.

A few days ago, the Cody Tree yieded his first bloom, and a yellow butterfly was flying around the tree and landed for a long time..... a very heart warmiing experiance for me.

THANK YOU to you all !
    God Bless !

  20. I've been blessed to meet some great people, who I now consider family, viva la HAMB

Glenn, you're the most generous guy on the HAMB I know of, and inspire myself and many others to Pay It Forward, give Jen a hug from us.

    Pay it forward,

    Drewfus

  21. Back in August the love of my life ,Denise, had a horrible horse back riding accident. I asked for prayers and the outpouring of support was amazing. You guys had my back and it really helped when I was coming home late every night to read your comments. I will never forget that guys. The HAMB is family and you'd have to be a fool to think otherwise.

Well you guys can move to Texas also I wants some cookies lol

  27. Bump for the morning crew. :)

  28. For me it's about making friends all over the world. Whether you actually get to meet them one day is immaterial. I've been fortunate enough to meet HAMBers from all over the world - Holland, France, England, Scotland, USA and of course the dozens of like-minded individuals all over Australia I now call my friends.

Carps, Drewfus, Flatoz, Jimbob, Devilrod, Rat bastad, X38, lowsquire and a bunch of others are now all good mates that I could call on any time if I needed help with something, and they know I would do the same.

Why, even Max and myself have swapped magazines. He sends me really cool ones and I send him crappy Aussie stuff. LOL ;)

The HAMB - It's just the best.

Hey Boris, I really do enjoy those magazines and thanks so much for sending them! More on their way to you in the future. :)

Roothawg saved my ass in Oklahoma a few years ago when my truck was losing the tranny...went to his house and we pulled it,he took it the next day to have it rebuilt....and his dad took the driveshaft for new Ujoints. All the while root was driving me back and forth to Norman (30 or so miles away) Hell of a nice guy...and we only met here on the HAMB.
I have also recieved parts like 40 ford headlight bezels (I think it was Rocky) ..I actually ended up with 2 sets...so one set was passed on to someone else when they needed them.
There's more that I can't even remember but Thank you to everyone that has made this such a great place!
